That vid itself is BS his teammates have "tactically" positioned themselves ontop of all the spawn points in a demo game leaving the one free spawn open for abuse notice the low rank players on the enemy team probably friends who are not allowed to leave the game as in any normal game the enemy team would rage quit.

The spawn points on demo are fairly fixed and have been since COD 4 this was prolific on Blops in demo as due to no death streaks you could sit behind the spawns and knife people in the back on several maps the worst being Havana and Jungle it was also 10x easier in that game.

All aboard the game is broken bandwagon.

Doesn't change the fact every cod since cod4 is ****ed up, if you go back and play CoD 4 the difference is night and day.

I fixed it for you, haters gonna hate and all that.

This was so much more prolific on Black ops yet it seemed to be brushed under the carpet, the one big thing about blackops and I guess the reason a lot prefer that game was that it was so easy to camp on, bang on blast shield pro and you aint ever gonna die. Couple this with fixed spawns and no death streaks and there is a spawn trappers wet dream. Hell anybody with a team and half a brain can get 100+ kills on that game easily.

Youtube is filled with Blops demo spawn camps yet it's easier to hate on the new kid in town, have a go at trying to achieve what that guy is doing and wait for the martydom and the dead mans hand to drop and take out the guys around whomever is being spawn camped, all of a sudden they are not spawn trapped anymore. :/ (I think that is the reason IW put them in and what a damn good decision to make too)


It's such a BS video and so fake that I don't know why you are jumping on the hate bandwagon.

We all know the spawns are broke (well they are not really broke it's just the maps are small and when the teams are spread out you are going to occasionally spawn on top of each other)

I have an idea to suggest to IW why don't they make the game spawn enemies randomly around the map, oh hang on then you will get shot in the back and come back here and post "omg the spawns are broke"

The spawning on this game is broken beyond reason, I can't comprehend how bad it is.

It was fine on CoD 4, how did it come to this?

As far as i'm concerned the priority for spawning in a game should be to spawn you as far away from enemy players as possible,regardless of where your team mates are. This game seems to spawn you near your team mates even if they're surrounded by enemies. It's ridiculous.

You make me laugh, you did nothing but vent your spleen in the black ops thread for 9 months, then when this game has turned out to be an utter pile of turd you can't critise the exact same things you pulled black ops up for.

You have spent so long kneeling and taking one on the face from infinity ward while dismissing anything from Treyarch this release must really be upsetting.

Yet when someone mentions something in this game you go running for Black ops as a comparison yet no one had even mentioned Black ops being far better. You bought Black ops into the discussion, again. Just as you spent 9 months banging on about MW2 in the Black Ops thread.

For the jury, I didn't like the spawning or maps (originals) in Black ops much either. Hopefully that now validates my passport to laugh at the utter **** spawn system and maps on this :D

And as for you, go back to your rolly-polly shotgunning bore-fest and leave us to this awesome 10 out of 10 game full of crap spawning and dire maps......not to mention dual FMGers, campers and quick-scopers.....honestly this game is perfect.....honest :(:p:D
 
Take the video on its own it looks terrible but it as biased as a fanboy lover is. Yes it highlights a flaw in the spawn system and shows it isn't perfect but the rest of the team are blocking the other spawns and I agree any normal person would rage quit if that game was a geniune one. The way the commentary goes on, in my opinion, makes it sound like every game/ma[ is like that but it isn't as on the larger maps like lockdown, resistance, mission etc the spawn system works 99% of the time as a team isn't large enough to lock out all the spawn points. The problem highlighted in that video is more to do with dome than the spawn system as a whole. It is a smal map and a limited number of spawn points, tweak the general spawn system a little and add some more spawn points on dome and it would be better. Dome is always going to be a crappy map though and that they can't fix.

To be honest mate not a lot of people have been on lately for long periods of time anyway so you haven't missed much. Jimmy seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth. :(

I couldn't careless about it because I don't play retarded gametypes like Demolition or crap maps like Dome :)

You mention Lockdown as a large map whether the spawns are much better? Wrong, I've had people spawn regularly in the exact same room as me just because I wasn't looking directly at the spawn point. There was atleast half of the map with safe places to spawn them where my team was no where close, but instead it decides to spawn them within sprinting distance of the enemy when there are plenty of better spawn points. It's also not a rare thing because I see people get these types of spawns every night when I play.

Been trying to keep my self amused with single player games and discovered that they make games far to easy these days! Blasted my way through space Marine in about 4 hours (Tried multi player and found you need some silly code to get past level 5, so thats been abandoned) and managed to get through two full play throughs of DA2 in less than a week
 
Spawn trapping is easy as hell on Black Ops, anyone can do it.

How long did it take to get Jungle and Havana off the demo map list?

That video is the first I've seen of demo spawn trapping on MW3.

The way I see it, if you are bad enough to get spawn trapped, you deserve it :p

Hardly anyone spawn trapped on Blops and you'd normally not spawn behind someone. On this it's terrible. You don't even need to spawn trap to get easy spawnage kills. There can be loads of places on the maps with nobody near it yet it decides to spawn you infront/behind someone. I wouldn't mind if it only happened every now and again but it's every game.

I know you posted it for the lolz but it was always going to start a discussion on the spawn system.

Ofcourse it matters if the other team members are on the other spawn. If there only 6 spawn points on a map, 5 team members sit on 5 with the 6 ADSing the only open spawn point. If someone dies then the game makes the assessment that the best place to spawn is the 6th one for them to get instantly killed. If, as you suggest, the game shouldn't spawn someone the same place they just died - how would that help? If they spawned at any other point on the map they would have simply been instantly killed by his team mate at that spawn.

It is horrible to spawn trap a team on domination or to be spawn trapped but I don't really know how they could get around that. Being objective based the captured flags become your base and it would ruin the game if the enemy started spawning on the flags your team have captured.

Personally I rarely see that happening, or happening to me, but then again I don't spend much time in the same room so maybe it is worse than it appears to me. Though if you work it out that in a game of TDM, there is probably usually somewhere between 100 - 149 kills per game, if a few of them spawn in the wrong spot it isn't that many. Yes it is still too many but not as bad as the video makes it seem. Which is why dome should be blamed equally, if not more, than the spawn system.

Been musing this some more though, I wonder if IW tried to make the spawn work so that people spawn in a safe place but close to the action to keep it gun on gun. Found there is nothing worse than spawning the opposite side of the map and spending the next minute getting back to the action.

No matter how you view I think everyone can agree that the spawn system as a whole needs some work, whether a little tweak or overhaul is a matter of opinion.

It shouldn't matter that the enemy is in their spawn as in they should still spawn anywhere in their own spawn regardless of people being in there. If you want to run into the spawn it's your fault if they spawn right next to you.

It works in Halo, you never spawn where you've just died or where the enemy is so I don't see how it's that difficult for CoD to implement such a system and there is always a hell of a lot more going on in Halo then in CoD aswell.
 
It's the lag that's driving me up the wall at the moment I don't know if its due to the kids off and playing all hours, but it seems like the last patch never happened.

When I die I get beat by better players, not because of a war and peace like list of excuses :D

Everyone has the same pap to put up with and everyone has access to the same equipment no matter what rank. How I used to love shooters like that :D
