Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a PS3 and have noticed that second hand games are a lot cheaper. is there anything I should watch out for with second hand games? I didn't know if the games linked up to any sort of play-station account so you either can't play second hand games on-line or patch them.

Many thanks :)

some of the more newer games need a code to play online other than that, same as any other system - scratched discs, missing manuals and thats about it.

I always buy mostly second hand as don't like paying full price for them, unless they're on really good pre-order deals.

I used to buy a lot of 2nd hand PS3 games but I don't tend to bother now mainly because new release £40 games drop so much in price so fast. I used to keep bidding on different auctions untill I'd get one of these new release games for about £25. No sooner had I finished groaning at all the scuff marks on the box, I'd see the game brand new for £17.99 That's exactly what happened with Uncharted 2.

As above, many new games (eg. Homefront) come with a use once online key. You can usually buy a new key for £7.99 but you might as well buy new. Not sure if some 'Game of the year' games come with DL codes for the DLC or they are always on the disc.

My god was that game out of this world!

I had only just completed it yesterday due to getting Uncharted 3 soon. That and had put it away for a while when I was at chapter 8. Had it since release.

Out of all the games I've ever played even on the PC, no game beats the Uncharted series. The second was pure excitement. *wiggles eyebrows at Chloe*

Amazing lighting, especially in the shift changing map room, the icy caverns, snow, it was amazing how they done the water. So lifelike, so clear. The clarity and water effects was amazing. So many things makes Uncharted 2 amazing. Chapter 25/26 was the best. The whole build up. Lighting up the blue crystals that sets off the blue fire, then watching the markings on the wall all go blue then revealing the hidden cavern to the city. It was just spectacular compared to any game I have seen. More so when the city was revealed. My god the lighting, the field of view. It was perfect.

To some degree it reminded me of The Cities of Gold.
