Steam Christmas Sale 2011

Hard Reset is definatly worth it for that price. It's just an pure FPS through and through which resembles Painkiller the most if you want to gauge what it is like (also a little like Serious Sam if you haven't played Painkiller). It's not for the feint hearted though. They actually released a patch after release to make it easier because it was too hard. Several difficulty modes available if you like your games impossible too. :p
 
Got Skyrim for less on preorder, COH I can't play for toffee, and got gifted Hard Reset the other day.

Leaves Plants V. Zombies as very, very likely, and quite interested in opinions on Risen and Renegade Ops?

Hard Reset is good, albeit short. Graphics are typical for a PC-exclusive (sharp, high-res, a lot of customisation), and the gameplay is akin to the likes of Serious Sam (i.e., completely OTT).

It's a must buy for any fan of old-school PC FPS.

It is in so much as you can easily put 100 hours into the game and the sale price makes it good value. However unless you can't wait, retail is cheaper, it is Steamworks so you just put the key in Steam and with the Retail you get the nice map.
