What will be a year from now after Dec 21st 2012

Many of you on this forum are aware of my views regarding Dec 21st 2012 and major cosmic shift coming. I posted here about 4 years ago on christmas saying we only have 4 years left and many people were scepticle.

Over time I've noticed more and more people becoming aware that the earth is going through major, almost prophetic, changes. On Dec 21st 2012 the Mayan calendar ends and may are predicting the end of the world. Some are saying there will be a new age of enlightenment.

So what do you think will be 12 months today?

The calendar in my room end in some 6 days, doesn't mean the world will end with it.

I will have transformed into a genetically superior superhuman, impervious to all disease and bullets. I will be immortal, and I will eat all of your souls...

...either that or it will be christmas again, and I will be out buying gifts for my loved ones :P
 
The Mesoamerican Long Count doesn't end, it is just transition from the 13th to 14th period (known as creations).

The end of each cycle was a big deal for Mayans and there is no end of the world belief structure that combines with 21st Dec 2012...it is simply the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.

The last time this happened was Sept 18th 1618, and as far as I am aware the world did not end then either.....be more concerned with Oct 13 4772..... That signifies the new beginning of the Long Count and this is when the Mayan have all sorts of beliefs....
 
Same as now, do you have any idea about that Mayan Callander, it doesn't end, it's just the end of the period and starts again.

From what I understand of it, saying that "the Mayan calendar ends" is comparable to saying "on December 31st, the Gregorian calendar ends". It doesn't. It just starts over. Apparently that's a more accurate way of looking at the Mayan calendar.

EDIT: See above for people who actually know what they're talking about :D
 
I'm sure many things will happen during the next year.

None of them will be related to the "2012 phenomena" or the bloody Mayans.
