Lol, wtf @ the MW3 sale? Why even bother?

I actually preferred the giveaway in the summer camp sale. The vouchers are a complete waste of time. It would have been much better to give smaller discounts (5% or 10%) and allow them to be used within the sale.

I've done 14 achievements thus far and got no games, a few vouchers and even converted 7 coal into a voucher. Every single voucher is 100% useless.

Agreed on all points.

I've got 7 vouchers and every game they apply to is currently cheaper in the sale. Why anyone would wait until the 2nd Jan to use one is beyond me.

What you have to hope for is that the game you have a voucher for comes up as a weekend deal or daily deal between 2 Jan and 30 March and then you can apply the voucher on top of the discount. :)

The only game I'm even remotely tempted by today is Alice. Does anyone know if it's any good?

I already own Killing Floor, and I might download it just to get the achievement. I hesitate because it looks like a godawful game not even worth the bandwidth.

It's alright to a degree, then gets very repetitive. The annoying mini games don't do much in its favour either.

Im currently playing Alice myself.

Its not bad. Some good bits, some mundane bits. I like the original game so I bought this.

It starts off easy, but them after about 40-50% through the bosses get tougher.

Its a straight forward platformer, reminds me of Darksiders a little.

I'd say 7/10 - its worth a punt.

Edit*

One thing to note. Its slightly crippled (no suprise Nvidia) on ATI hardware. You cant turn physx off only set it to low, so I get a little bit of hitching at times, but its perfectly enjoyable. Nvidia always have to have one game where they get away with crippling ATI hardware for no physx! :o

Is it just me or has the Steam sale not been quite on par with previous sales? Yes some newer titles have had discounts (Skyrim, Batman AC for example) but most of the other stuff has just been the same as before and sometimes not even as cheap as before either. So far I've bought Hard Reset and got Skyrim bought for me and that's it.

The problem is Steam relies far too much on its indie partners for these sales. It's always those that form the majority of the discounts.

Never thought of that.

Shame the vouchers I've got are all for stuff I don't want. :D

Good day, picked up a fair few games today, my debit card will never forgive me at this rate. Might have to start begging the credit card for help :p
