Anno 2070 - barely heard anything of it in the media and very little hype (probably overshadowed by Skyrim and TOR), but it is one of the best city building games out there imo.

Dead space 2, enjoyed its single player, the stalkers were a great challenging enemy with great AI, overshadowed by games that came out later in the year !!

It wasn't under rated though was it!! Lol completely defeats the purpose of the thread, it reviewed well, sold well etc etc.when it came out has no relevance

There is a 2070 thread around here somewhere. I never played 1404, but I have heard others around here say that 2070 is an improved/futuristic version of 1404. I personally think 2070 is a great game.

Well not entirely i just thought compared to some other major releases this year it should have got more recognition like compare Skyrim sales to Witcher 2....is pretty big difference.(of course Skyrim is a brilliant game aswell)

Dragon Age 2 for me, seems to have been slated on forums etc but having played it immediately after DA and the expansion, I think it is a good game when judged on merit. Suffered a bit from the classic gaming problem of having to follow a classic and getting panned due to being worse than the original, same as Deus Ex: The Invisible War, despite the fact that it's actually a decent game.
