Overclockers forum on App

He does have a point though, my Nokia lumia 800 has no text wrapping (most of the new browsers don't) and It becomes difficult to see text, why is it a decision beyond mods?

Because moderators are there to moderate, it is up to the admins/owner whether they want to be installing random vB extensions on the forum.

People just need to get better phones/browser apps tbh :p

Going from a forum app on the iPad to this site feels archaic to be honest. Nothing against the forum or the people that run it, it just doesn't work very well.

People that post large images for starters resizes the whole page, an app would thumbnail them. If you type a lot in the reply box and you go past the end of the text box you can't scroll.. to name a few issues.

"Apps" that duplicate functionality that already exists on the web are completely pointless.

This article completely describes most people's feelings for these crummy "apps": http://www.hanselman.com/blog/AppsAreTooMuchLike1990sCDROMsAndNotEnoughLikeTheWeb.aspx

A thesis of at least 40,000 words exists in this single image.

They're more convenient in most cases. Considering the market share of "mobile" os browsers it should at least be on the admins radar in my opinion.

I was surprised not to find one, but for the last couple of days have been browsing the forum on my HTC Desire with stock browser and have got used to it.

On a tablet it must be even easier?

You need an 'App' to view a specific web page now? What happened to just formatting CSS making it more suitable for mobile web browsers?
