Had some moron try this on me today too on the A44 near Evesham. 60 limit, doing 40ish. Got to a long straight, went for a leisurely overtake and he just floored it.

I was in 5th (I think) and didn't fancy the bait, so just dropped back.

He must have got up to a fair speed because he ended up a good 4/500 metres in front of me only for me to catch up with him again with him doing 40/45 ish :confused:

Was a bit better prepared that time so gave him some second gear loving.

By the way, it was an old E46 320D too. Not quite sure what he was trying to prove?

I've done a fair few, no idea on amount, for the reasons posted earlier in the thread, generic caravan doing 40 and everyone plays sheep and sits behind them.

However after this one time when a Mondeo almost pulled out in front of me I tend to just play sheep unless I am fully confident I can get past without issue.

There are too many idiots on the roads unfortunately.

About 8 on the A623 and the first vehicle was a bus. Not clever, but honestly I was behind this lot for ages waiting for them to overtake and none never did so I waited for the right time and did all the lot of them.

Saved me a lot of time.

3 on the snake pass one evening. One car in the queue decided to keep using his horn as I was passing for some reason and a oncoming car decided to flash its lights at me then full beam me as I got closer.. Took at least 30 seconds for him to go pass though, so he was miles away?? Overtake didn't take time at all as they was doing 25mph! Not sure why.

Oh dear me - either some people are blatantly trolling or are just plain dangerous. Please rescind your licences before you kill someone or cause an accident.

DRZ did a perfectly legal and safe manoeuvre. The Civic driver was being an idiot. Besides, it's perfectly acceptable to go over the speed limit to overtake someone to minimise TED.

The law is never black and white, and a lot of it is down to the moment and discretion - so those of you getting on your high horses - get off them now.

You know I once overtook a line of cars on my bike, on 1 wheel, flicking the bird, drinking a cup of coffee, and doing my makeup... I think I should definitely go to prison for such a reckless act! LOL!
