Bioshock
Used to be good at FPS games but it went down hill as I got older...

Couldn't get enough of GTA III, San andreas or Vice city. Not sure what it was about IV although I just couldn't get on with it at all. Forced myself to play to the end on console, was overjoyed when I completed the last mission and could trade it on.
Purchased again on Steam later hoping I'd see the light although still thought it was garbage.

Thats a bit harsh isnt it? Its got its flaws for sure like all other games but wouldnt your rig be a factor if the game is clunky? It runs fine on mine and I dont have a super duper rig.

RO2 and BF3 without a shadow of a doubt.
My rig isnt the problem tbh mate, it's the game. The netcode is dire since the btk release. System wise i can run it on good high settings, ultra with 2x msaa, 90fps average. My rig isnt even that great tbh, im running a pair of ancient gpu's, yes the cpu is good. But that makes little difference.

fallout 3 and CSS, ive tried so many times to get into them over the years
I havent played it since the btk update, I need to play that again but I'll be prepared for a worse experience if its gotten worse since the update.
You need to give it more than 30 mins to get into it.
Looking through my Steam list, three games stand out for this.
Fallout 3 - I just can't get along with it.
Sonic Generations - Some of the gameplay is good, but there's just too much faff with completing levels, then gathering stupid keys, then getting to a boss. And the 3D sections still suffer with massive screen clutter.
DoW2 - I play a fair bit of Last Stand but the rest of it just annoys me. MP has little to no base building and stupid mechanics like retreating, which allows someone to basically grief you with a squad of scout marines that you can never kill. The SP is just about moving from cover-to-cover and taking out anything that shoots back, so utterly monotonous and mechanical feeling. Give me DoW1 any day.

These for me as well. I've tried fallout 3 three times so far but get bored to tears as soon as I hit Megaton.
CSS, well, it's no fun getting practically molested round after round by those that have played for hours, every day, for years.
