*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

It's what you make of it, I am almost always in groups (if needed) by asking in the great guild I am in (The Immortals) so its hatdly an excuse being on a "quiet" server.

That being said it is disapointing how unbalanced they have let some servers become. Why they don't enforce balance is beyond me.

As am I, always in a group of people to play with however, this is the least populated experience of an MMO I've ever had. :(

If that's Niman I have to disagree. I was getting the being alone feeling for awhile but things have changed a lot. For a start I have started grouping with guildees more for questing and join in with general chat / pvp. I spent time yesterday pvping with the same few people who I got chatting too. Also had some world pvp on hoth where is was 7v6 in a cave.

As said the game is what you make it, if you don't group and talk you will feel alone. I'm loving it more and more the higher level I get

Disagree all you want, you just said it yourslf you played with the same few people, key word being "same".
Just do a /who and type any planet, if that's your definition of enough people then you've probably not experienced more :p

You do know its ok to disagree right? and as far as experience not that I need to justify myself but I come from UO > SWG > WoW. Played all of those from release during their "glory days" for want of a better phrase.

I look at each planet as a zone in WoW and over the last few days I have been watching numbers. Between 50-70 on balmorra while I was there and 40-60 on hoth. Seeing as though people are levelling in space, pvp and at very different rates I dont see a problem. Once everyone gets to 50 they will be in the same areas and the world will look "fuller".

Maybe I am optimistic but thats my opinion and I am really enjoying the game and the world. On another note republic pvp on Niman is looking a good place to be. Some great pvp players and I played 20-30 games yesterday and won most.

Winnng most is not be a good indication of great pvp. If the other side is constantly getting spanked it wont be long before no one turns up for a spanking. I find the pvp a bit porked, really dont like the '10 - 50' in one arena mechanism. Still, had some fun games.

Has anyone got AA working? I've tried the config hack but it doesn't seem to do anything. This game could look so good if the shadows and AA were up-to-par.

I disagree after years of being on a WoW server where we were outnumbered 4-1 by horde and all the wannabe pro players avoided alliance. To find a server with a group of decent pvpers where we win more than lose makes me very happy. Plus I never stated how hard fought the games were.

Yeah I agree, they really didn't think the 10-50 thing through enough.

just had an email through from my old SWG guild, looks like the admin kept the email address and is trying to get everyone back on.

I'll definitely be looking at getting a cheap copy once the missus returns the 360 games I had for xmas that I already own :D

Says they are one the Trayus Academy server under MDU :D

Me and a couple of mates are on Trayus Academy on the Republic!

Battlegrounds are really not pvp, they're just a fun distraction. If that's all the pvp I've got to look forward to, I'll give up now.

Bought this yesterday after strong recommendation from my bro (Billzz on the OcUK forums) - no contest, had to start with a Jedi Knight :p

First couple of minutes I thought it was a bit 'meh' if I'm honest, however, the first time I Force Leap'ed into a group of three or four mobs and took them all down, I was like "Hell, yeah!". Then earlier this morning I had an R2 unit tanking and zapping for me - no word of a lie, despite actually being 42, I was that grinning, wide-eyed 8-year-old kid again who had just walked out of the cinema having seen Star Wars for the first time.

This just oozes atmosphere - cannot wait to get a 'proper' lightsaber! And dual-wielded lightsabers :D

Trouble is, I'm now having to divide my time between three stonking games: got a rogue two levels away from 85 in WoW, got a warrior-type char under way in Skyrim and now a level 6 JK rapidly approaching level 7 - one of life's nicer dilemmas!

Just had one of the worst groups ever - the kind that jumps on CC'd enemies and aggros additional mobs. Won't be grouping with randomers for a while - will be sticking to flashpoints with guildies methinks :)

Maybe I'm expecting too much...but it still seems to be crawling with jaggies.

Do I need to leave NV inspector running?

Edit: Got it working - it looks FAR better now.
