What is it with all the grouches recently?
Most of us are celebrating bringing in a new year full of new beginnings
Why does it always have to be a new year for the new beginnings to erm.. begin?
I hate the whole idea of a 'new start' just because we've made it to another year. You can change your life at any time. I guess that's why I have never made a New Year's resolution.

I don't understand it either. I don't think I have met anyone who has actually stuck with a new years plan for more than a week.

There is one thing I am looking forwards to in 2012 though...Zombocalypse!

So there is no reason that Jan 1st is classed as a "New Year"?
If anything would a person's Birthday not dictate a New Year?

But lets not forget the end to some things. It's a conspiracy so that more money is made.
Santa isn't real and money must be spent at Christmas. Another money making adventure.
New years is arguably a more tangible and real celebration than Christmas, we're not celebrating the birth of a none-existent deity, we're celebrating the end of a year and our hopes for the next year.
It's only over hyped if you're an idiot. I'm going to celebrate it with a few friends tonight, have a bit of a party, have a good time and then go home and begin my new year. Enjoy being a moody bore.

Although I'm a rather happy person in general, so I doubt I'll ever feel the same way. I'll probably also never grow up, being immature is far too much fun

I'm going to be tucked up in my bed before midnight.
Ha thats ace - I hate it too for the over importance placed on it.
I try make it no different to any other evening, but thats quite hard given the amount of plebs around and the high prices.
