*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

Petty much everything you have said is utter rubbish, its funny how I can have 10/15 encounters a day if not a lot more but you have none, on ya bike son, this be my last response to you.

Lean to make a decent guild and game time may improve.

My experience is rubbish?
But that's what HAPPENED!

Also, no matter how I run a guild that doesn't change how the empire players, play.

Lose the attitude.

Newts, you might want to read the original post before inserting yourself into wab again.

playing the grown up card doesn't work whenyou resort to personal insults when there was no need, pretty pathetic.

But on topic you are saying there is no world pvp which I disagreed with (I did read your op) yes the majority of pvp is through BG but saying world pvp doesn't exist because you don't want to seek it out is silly.

It clearly exists and a lot of people do it, the majority choose to whine about world pvp because it's hard to find. That's the essence of it as you are out searching for it. To hand it to people would be removing the world element it would just he a larger arena.

Because you personally have not bothered doesn't mean it doesn't exist or isn't valid.

Valentyn on The Exile's Crystal. PVP

Sith, no guild though.

Have added you to the OP.

any sith guilds on frostclaw wanna gimme and invite ? Snaggle

ty :)

You are more than welcome :). You need to first register on the OcUK players and guild forum at http://www.beyondtheclock.com/home, then whisper one of us ingame and we can invite you (don't seem to be many on tonight though!). We have made registering on Beyond the Clock a requirement just to make it easier to communicate within the guild :) - will be especially useful for raids.

The Sith Jugg gets much more powerful as it levels up - force scream now shields me (pretty much for the duration of the cooldown) and almost makes me unkillable, even against Elites/Champions. Nearly finished with Taris :)

The discussion was about whether the predominant experience was open world or BG pvp, when its blindingly obvious that TOR follows the WoW BG experience and has zero DAOC realm type pvp.

For the record my post may have been sarcastic but youre the one who started with the fanboi personal insults and the QQ about there actually being open world pvp, which is im sure a subject for debate for those who care.

But like i said to wab, I really dont fancy getting into a reasoning match with cheerleaders, why dont you go enjoy the game.

So, I was playing hutball near release and everything was going fine, I was in a match with wab (nemeses) and he was doing well, no complaints. But there was an instance where something odd happened and he couldn't throw the ball. He said something like ***** thing, I agreed with him saying "Stupid :p" (Emoticon notates jest) , maybe I wasn't clear and thought I was calling him stupid. But I did ask "What was wrong?" But, what do you expect?

nemeses1.jpg

Then another match more recently I witnessed another immortal member arguing with someone else, he was basically told that he was running the wrong way with the ball and that he should probably attack the ball carrier and not repeatedly just walk past them and ignore them.

I wouldn't have pulled this out if wab didn't get back into his moody swing of insulting me and other people for no reason at all and it's probably not right to start on the forum but it's just fodder to use to show exactly how aggressive he can be with the most innocent of questions or misunderstanding.

I simply stated that my experience so far, since I played from early access and was ahead of most people level wise was that the game world felt very empty, suddenly I get jumped on far saying I'm talking a load of old tosh.
How can my experience be a lie? They forget that situations change for different people, they think because they have lots of pvp encounters and see lots of people to play with it must be the same for everyone on every planet and level range. I don't want to get into petty inter guild arguments either but you have some very nasty loud mouthed members who at the slighest glimmer of criticism act up like it is the most insulting thing they've ever heard.

I was happy to talk about my experience so far up to level 50 but wab and co just jumped on the insult wagon without thinking for a moment maybe it's exactly how my gaming experience happened so far in swtor.

Am I the only one doing the story on their own, or is everyone doing it in groups?

Can't see for the life of me how people are getting past some points if they are doing it on their own

Depends, what class and which story, class story? main story?

Solo, you might have to skip some heroic areas, Jedi Knights have harder class stories than others at some stages with multiple elites and strongs in a single pack.

Jedi Consular/Shadow/Level 33

Was discussing this a few dozen pages back, the past few end story missions I've had to get someone else's help to do it, I always seem to die pretty quick/attacks don't do a lot of damage

You just...........ask for help in general chat and within a few seconds somebody will will come and help with any difficult bits or heroic areas.

Your defence mechanism is to further insult me when proof of your actions is open to the public. I don't take specific pics, my screenshot folder of swtor is almost a gig. I just remembered you in game mouthing off at me, so naturally I'll take a picture. Actually it was specific, I knew this would come up in the future because anyone here can read you like a book.

Also, who was calling you a stream of names? Genuine curiosity because if it's someone in my guild that's not tolerated.

You'll notice I haven't directly attacked you at all, or called you names, or anything, I'm just telling you what happened.
You're the one doing all that.

my experience was the same as yours.

didnt meet anyone in open world pvp until around lvl 36, saw a couple of people on alderaan, never saw anyone on the 3 planets after those and barely ever saw anyone from the same side either.

the game felt like i was playing on a dead server yet it often had 100+ people login queues, there were usually around 60 immortals online and nearly every random i saw was actually in the guild.... it made it feel like the servers pop cap was a 100-200 at best.

the immortals came across as a few people who knew each other and everyone else were randoms treated as 3rd class guild members.

its was very rare for any of the guild officers etc to actually start groups openly in guild chat but if you went on mumble the same few people always seemed to be grouped ingame....

Anyone done HM Esseles? What was the general strategy used for Vokk? Just avoid the circles and work him down? Any problems with the Light Saber just hitting the same person twice and insta dying? Seems very very random...

Managed to get it done after a few more attempts, just seemed extremely random with the circles, people would move from it yet still get hit and the light saber striking the same person sucked. We ended up just standing rather close to him and moving around a lot...

So classic case of massive world with very little socializing, sounds like London.

lol epic win sir :p lolol

I'm still enjoying it. A bit annoyed that I am not on the ToFN with the rest of ocukers.

But I have got my sin to lvl 38 now and cba to re-do it all over again just to be on ToFN. I got a couple RL friends on the server I am on too so thats cool. We also joined some social guild on Nightmare Lands. They seem quite a friendly bunch of ppl tbh lots of chat in /g they even have a mumble server so me and my RL friends abuse that lol.

I like the story stuff but I am still struggling to see how this will hold up end game. Its a shame they have not but at least some content into the legacy system other than giving you a surname. Least it would give you a taste of what is to come. Other than "more content coming soon"

I still get a few nice /ws about my name though :) "Lord Zeddicus Zu'lzorander"
