Those London Fireworks :O

big ben bit was awesome, rest of it was the usual new year standard of not quite as good as i expected but still very good

something that has been bugging me was the last piece of music played during the fireworks. im sure i recognise it from somewhere. does anyone know what videogames/films its been in?
 
Impressive? No, it was okay but generally I think they're getting worse every year (bar last year or year before which was quite good and this years has been acceptable).

UK needs to synchronise better and make use of more appropriate music, especially when it comes to an event such as the Olympics.
 
Compared to Auckland, Tokyo and Hong Kong...i thought ours was pretty damn impressive...so far Sydney was the best then Dubai which had the fireworks going off the Burj tower.

But a lot of money gone up in smoke quite literally:p
 
It gives money to the chem industry, its all good.

However, fireworks are becoming a tad obsolete (repetitive to), they should should more intuitive light shows along with it, one of those 3D ones.

Big Ben would be perfect for one, frankly.
 
Impressed with the fireworks! Jolly good show.
Light shows...pfff nothing touches fireworks for an occasion.
And I don't care about the cost of fireworks in our capital city once a year, maybe we should stop giving aid to Brazil and work back from there in the cost saving scheme.

Too drunk for political reasoning, but yeah, agreed. Unless it was some foreign firm supplying the firepower (in which case send em home sideways) fair play
