yes all the time.

i get the disconnection symbol top right of the screen, and while that is happening i can't move but i can see everyone else moving. then sometimes it goes back to normal then other times it kicks me from the game and says i was disconnected from ea
 
I get the disconnects occasionally but my worst problem is hanging in map changes ATM. It just sits on 'loading....' and does nothing. I need to use task manager to close it then it'll be fine for a few rounds and I happens again. Prior to the last patch I never had any bother at all.

Another thing for me is I use the arrow keys I've never been able to get on with wasd not matter how many times ive tried.
Connection is 50Mb Virgin so should'nt have a problem there ?

I have some of the same issues , only got to rank 24 after about 70 hours. There are masses of cheaters on there but there are some good players who know the maps and can rack up a score.

Check the network smoothing setting isn't too high, I lost lots of fire fights until I set it to approx 1/4 now even if I loose which is often I inflict some damage whereas before I rarely inflicted damage.

I'd like to find a decent source of gun info to see which guns have the tightest spread. I dumped about 50 shots from an LMG right at someone from around 10ft away then they turned around and one shotted me with a F2000 (I think).

The big scores seem to come from good team work, 100 per revive if you're medic + health for everyone that boost off it. Same with the ammo in support.

Max I've had is around 6,000 but that was a very long round, nearly 2 hours for 500 tickets.

I'm from the original Doom, Quake, UT era and I find the work rate rather high. Too much switching weapons, claymores, mines, gadgets etc etc ... Half the time I hit the wrong key and grenade myself. Like anything, many of the players have played this type of game for years and some play 14 hours a day .

As for flying ... find a quiet 8-16 player server that's 2 player start and spend some time crashing. I've been trying to learn jets and I found 2-6 players fine but you often get some booster in their just taking easy kills who has all the unlocks or someone in the AA being a nuisance to get the unlocks for that.

I think the problem is your playing style, BF3 is not a fast pace like any of the games you mentioned. Slow down and play as a team, try to learn the maps.

Wirh LMG, you need to fire in short burst. Find which class suit you, I like playing as a medic running around with a G3A3

If someone is blatantly cheating then it's probably to make people angry like you are, if you start mouthing off to a cheater while playing then you've already lost.

Usually I wouldn't bother because I have nothing against SC mode players and am glad the game caters for different audiences. But you didn't just post a different opinion; you posted an obviously inflammatory comment insinuating that hardcore players are noobs and I cant stand arrogant childish statements like that. Lets leave it at that.

Haven't met that many cheats tbh but tend to stick to the same servers

1. Sorry cant really help here, could you post a video of your gameplay?

2. Try and mess around with the network slider? You should have a good ping so try it near to the left.

3. Thats odd, ASSUMING you dont have a game controller plugged in or have very high mouse sensitivity set.

4. Search for "1 player" servers to practice flying.

Also, what computer setup do you have, BF3 like its hardware?

Lastly, BF3 like BF2 is all about "situational awareness" and steady slow play (unless its Operation Metro) if you have a big monitor 1080p resolutions and above, play with the mini-map set to big.

Or, if you're on a budget, practise with the T-UGS or MAV and a personal defence weapon, I like the PP-2000

Try a 1,000 ticket Operation Metro server, you should see double that with the Medic class in around 25 minutes per round.
 
EA authentification servers seem to be down - damn, just when I have an hour or two free, kids busy etc. Damn you EA, devilspawn!!!
 
Yeah I can't login either. I just started playing Battlefield 3 again and the new maps are ridiculously awesome. I absolutely love Karkand in particular.
 
Must admit, Metro is cool for leveling up, even with M320 barrage. Gives it all a nice intensity. Just drop loads of little medicine boxes & the points will mount up
