*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

Just time pressures with the christmas period being over.

:( bad times... I am back at work now so no 15hour days - though I still have the evening and because of a road trip I am doing in America in April can just use the excuse of saving money when I stay in and be unsociable! :D

Same situation hehehe.

No more long days now I'm back at work.

Btw, does anybody know what this patch is fixing?, I'm waiting for the texture bug fix mainly.

As much as I love the game, christ I have 2 level 50's already, I think the first major content patch needs to come soon and it will be a make or break thing for the game. If it doesn't contain enough to keep people happy (end game pvp is a joke) then it will result in people leaving the game.

You are entitled to your point of view, but If having 2 x 50's by now is any indication of the rate you will be consistently consuming content, I dont think you will ever be happy tbh.

Even if a new content patch did come quickly, you will blow through it in less than a week and then have the same complaint.

I dont think you represent the majority of the playerbase either, most people havent got a single char to 50 yet for various reasons and are still experiencing launch content.

Personally, Im blown away by the amount of content. Im only up to Alderaan on my main (have tried a few alts to various levels), and each planet takes me a long time to complete.

Ive done plenty of Warzones, but hardly touched flashpoints (hard mode or otherwise) or world bosses.

All that said, ongoing support for the game will be crucial, particularly in the 1st 6 months.

Ive been playing it casually, level 30 sniper and a few lower level toons.

The game has more than sufficient content to last a considerable time unless you power level to 50, no doubt missing the whole point/skipping the majority of the cutscenes and storyline.

One of the key features of this game for me is the various storylines and the lore involved. I have no desire to rush through the levels just to get to 50 so I can then complain there is too little content.

Hmm...

Servers are... up? shortest maintenance ever :p

Edit:

Yup fully up now

"The servers are now available! Thank you for your patience."

I'm still waiting for the green glow fix caused by Med Scan abilities, especially from Mako. After 20 minutes or so my character just glows green and it gets progressively worse and it's highly annoying.

Relog is the only fix I've found that works, have the same problem with the healing companion of my warrior..

Just about to ding 20 and been playing it casually for couple of weeks due to work and what not, but on a RP PVE US server, so just rolled a sith on Frostclaw mainly to get my name I use.

But got two weeks of in Jan so will be planning to put some serious time in once done the DIY lol

Funny how all the people that were worried about rolling on a PvP server, I've had about 10 world PvP encounters and that is leveling 1 char to 30 and another to 50 and we're one of the most populated servers.

-edit-

I'd like to add I'm on the Sith side and am aware if I was on the Jedi side I'd be getting mad PvP.

After all the winging about servers being empty and not seeing anyone, the republic fleet now feels absolutely packed. Sorry for the WoW comparison, but like Ironforge, the auction kiosk and PvP terminal are constantly surrounded by players.

It generally feels way more populated!

Niman btw.
