So, the world on which she is commenting on, never mind the fact she also used a hashtag to narrow it down, doesn't matter? Context is king.

White people getting all butt hurt over nothing, desperate to be victims of the very racism they deride when they are committing it. It is sickening.

No it takes a Guardian journalist to be completely wrong, as usual. The journalist just compared this with the murder and recent convictions of Stephen Lawrence... why? How is it the same? One was a violent racially motivated attack and the other was a racially motivated statement. Why did the commentator not compare it to the recent coverage of John Terry or Alan Hansen?

Also Diane Abbott is supporting the segrigation of communities, he racist comments in the past are well know. Multiculturalism is a primary Labour policy, how can it satand up when shadow ministers come out with 'stick with your own' comments?

Now, I don't think what she said is the worst thing in the world obviously, but I'm more irritated by the fact that if a white person in that position had said similar comments about black people, they would be out of the door faster than you can blink.

I'm also aware this isn't the first time she's made race-related remarks in this sort of manner. She seems to be a fairly repugnant woman in general so she would be no great loss to anything.

Her efforts to backtrack have been pretty poor as well. What was more concerning was the fact there are quite a few black people who are entirely behind her sentiments as well.

I say she should resign. I'm black and know that if this were a white person saying something similar about black people there would be an outcry by politicians (be they black or white) and the public (again, be they black or white)!

By using a hashtag and understanding how Twitter works, something seemingly lost on the majority of GD posters.
 
She should get a 8 match ban :p

She has lots of history of being 2 faced, comdemming racism from 1 side while actively stirring up resentment in another community

the sooner her and Darcus Howe shut up the better for everyone

I think most white folks do not give a **** about what she said as it is unimportant but they are annoyed at the hypocrisy and double standards

As I said I do not care that she said it, it is not offensive to me, it is the hypocrisy that is wrong
 
of course we also would need all the people that support her political party to come out and too deny she did anything wrong and that it's all a 'misunderstanding' and that where she's from saying things like that are 'okay'.

For the 3rd time I do not find what she said offensive and have no problem with people supporting her right to say it but she shouldn't be so hypocritical, it would only be comparable to the Suarez incident if he has spent his career promoting himself as a bastion of equality and political correctness
