Ok, do was driving home just now from the gfs and someone's dog had, unfortunately, been hit near the top of local high street.

Now population means I'd put the size of hometown somewhere between village and town however there is quite a lot of traffic at rush hour (when this happened).....

This meant there was a queue about a mile long that would've taken about 15 minutes. Now obviously as a dog owner you'd be local and know that this isn't exactly an empty road.....

Whilst I understood that the dog owner was probably quite distraught as her dog had just been hit, but on the other hand there was already a huge queue, and I dont think I was on the scene much after the event happened.... To be honest I thought she should have moved the dog....

Again I understand this could create further harm, but yeah.... What do people think? Would you leave the dog in the road or try and move it to the pavement?

Why wouldn't they move the dog? It's not like they can wait around for paramedics to come put a neck collar on.

Atleast call the people who deal with that sort of thing. Before some asain fam. sees it & takes it home for some good ole roadkill stew. :D

Serious answer:

I think people should have a little consideration and wait... there sitting in the warmth, on a seat listening to the radio. It's not a hard ship to wait.

If of course it was beyond recovery and was inevitably going to pass away... perhaps move it if it wasn't going to cause pain, which I'm sure it would though and therefor it should be allowed to pass away in peace without being dragged across a road. I'm sure none of us would approve of being dragged across the road when we're seriously injured or about to die.

If it was one of those little annoying aggresive dogs...
