Hello,

Well, I'm now at home caring for my brother alone, and would like to know if there are any good legitimate "home-based" earning money from home, as i have quite a lot of time to spare, now being unemployed due to having to care 24/7 for my Brother (mentally handicapped). Not got many skills as such, so open to suggestions. :) £50-£200 pw?

EDIT: ive seen these ""I made $5,768.56 this week in only 2 hours""""

If you have no skills to work with I'd try rectifying that personally. Pick something you're interested in that you could use to work freelance, and work on it. Most people don't naturally start with innate skill in something they put a huge number of hours in to master something.

Only legit one I can think of is the google adsense on blogger. You need to make friends with people who just click on each others links. Dont click your own or you will get banned.

the only fool proof way of making money while doing not a lot at home is matched betting. it probably wont make you much, but its worth a try

What skills do you have? There are very few jobs you can do entirely from home without a fairly sought after skill.

Are you claiming the cash that goes with being a full time carer?

Yes, cares allowence

Like i mentioned above re: piano/Music, its not something i could start up now (teaching diploma required i think, though in "know" people who teach without, but still....). I'll have a search rouynd anyway, thanks all, but no Betting/Gambling etc thanks;)

Make sure you are claiming for everything you are entitled to as a full time carer:

Carers allowance
Income support (which will open up other benefits such as free prescriptions, free treatment at the dentists etc)
I assume your brother is getting DLA, both the care component and the mobility component.
Are you in social/council housing:
Housing benefit
Community charge reductions
Be aware if you are earning money at home you will have to declare it. You will have to make sure you can earn enough to make it worth while, which is not going to be easy, as you have a full time job looking after your brother! I'm a full time carer, it ain't easy.
You need to speak to someone such as the CAB.

Google the 'warm home discount scheme' if you are eligible you could get a £120 credit towards your electricity bill.

I would probably teach myself website coding/designing and try earn some money from home that way?

Same situation here, i havent found anything, Care for my Mum who is disabled and also my mentally disabled brother, Only thing we get as carers is 55.55 carers allowance and something silly like 40ish income support a week - Now mum and bro have the DLA, housing etc but again most of that covers the food/bills/clothes - Ive kinda learned to live with it lol been doing this for nigh on 12 years now.

Make and sell simple items. Buy bulk item's in from china and sell on other sites than ebay. There's even a facebook group for my town where people can list items to buy/sell.

I fill in surveys for Myvoice, works out at £1 for every 10 minutes you fill in forms i.e. minimum wage but without the tax man. Tried Ciao! too but I kept getting screened out early on (and even late on more frustratingly!), where I seldom do with Myvoice.

Cant help with earning extra cash but would just like to give some kudos and respect to both of you as it must be tough doing what you have to do to look after your family and I wish you both the best of luck :)

Agreed!

If you're any good at writing you could try the Amazon KDP route. Remember, the ability to write can be self-taught - you don't have to be Bill Shakespeare to put pen to paper.

Its income, you should still pay tax.

Blimey. To you and OP, that is a very noble thing to do. I can't believe you get so little in the way of benefits when less deserving people get more.

Good on you, it can't be easy doing what you do.

I wish I had some advice on making money from home but unfortunately I've no experience or knowledge so I can only hope someone here can really help you.

Kudos.
