US marines urinated on bodies of taliban fighters

So nevertheless a baseless accusation. Jolly good.

Besides, we're still in the logically inconsistent territory of you claiming that because they would probably do the same and approve of it, then it's OK, even though in the same breath you're moaning about all the other stuff they do, such as throwing acid in school girls' faces, or abducting, torturing and murdering people, or skinning soldiers. Or are all those things now OK for American marines to do as well?

My Earlier Post said:
These Marines actions, while are somewhat understandable given the horrors of combat, are inexcusable, and it would seem that their leadership agrees by the pending criminal case.

Curse my forgetting who said what. Apologies.

No worries. :)

Reading it back, my initial post is a rather clumsy attempt at making the point to those posters stating that the Americans are no better than the Taliban, that were the roles reversed, then I doubt the Taliban's leadership would be condemning their men's actions, and that these Marines are no doubt facing disciplinary action for their conduct.

That makes more sense. I can imagine that the Taliban might not condemn the actions as such though I'm equally not convinced that they would specifically endorse them.

Wait, so we suspended this guy because he did something disgusting (said the soldiers should die) in response to a group of people doing something disgusting (weeing on dead bodies), yet we (royal we) are defending a group of soldiers who did something disgusting (weeing on dead bodies) in response to a group of people doing something disgusting (being enemy combatants in a guerilla war).

EXCELLENT.

+1

OcUK forums never fail to surprise me. Yes they are the enemy but where's the dignity, honour and pride? I do hope the US marines get punished for this.

I think a lot of people in this thread are having a really hard time using their brains properly. Why are you focusing on the fact that they got urinated on, then going "they do worse to their mates"? Are you really that mentally challenged that you can't understand how distasteful it is to treat the dead bodies like that?

I don't think anyone actually cares that some people urinated on other people, it's the meaning behind it that's the problem and the fact that they were already dead. It was totally necessary. Additionally, why are so many people basing their actions on what another group of people would do?

its a war zone, they behead, hang and all the rest of it , so a few soldiers take a wizz on a dead taliban who actually cares.

not me thats for sure.

I just contributed to this thread in that one image your entire contribution to the forums.

Thankfully your opinion will be drowned out by the majority of voices who made it through primary education and not only have a firm grasp of the English language, but also possess sufficient brainpower to make reasoned decisions.

These soldiers actions have endangered every single serviceman out there, actions such as these are just creating more and more enemies (not necessarily terrorists just normal people sick of decades being treated like animals by an occupying force), but its okay we can shoot them and call them terrorists and ***** more money away in an endless war whilst our economies fall apart.
