Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Couldn't do anything and got thrown about a million times :/ My connection has been diabolical recently, it seems laggy almost all the time for me. Failed ultra at the end with Guile to finish it off. I need practice!

I'm on til around half 12 if anyone else wants a punching bag! :)
 
You need practice?! Tonight was my first set of games in many many months! I'd love to know how my hours in the game compares to you :(

gg's, not sure why you taunted so much with Guile though, you know it makes me mardy especially when you do it while losing :p

Bisons game revolves around tick throws, I'm meant to safe jump after each one but I forget the timings of them. Now you know how I normally feel when I play you :p

I do like Bison though, he's a nasty little thing that gets in and sits on you all day without letting you breathe.

Did it feel really laggy to you? Just played another game now with someone else and laggy again so I'm not gonna bother any more. The taunt was me trying to react and do ultra and the way my hand rests on the stick I do a taunt instead sometimes just ask Art, I used to do fadc > taunt vs him. :/

I just got done watching the Capcom stream for SFxT, I swear the more I see of that game the closer I am to cancelling my preorder. I just have a bad feeling about it.
 
MK9 and UMvC3, I've been dabbling a bit in KoF XIII aswell but I can't find the time after the other games I play. Mainly just AE and UMvC3 right now, give up on MK9 a while back after NRS destroyed it.
 
I only ask because lots of games have strange systems like cvs2, and blazblue and the alpha series. If you haven't tried any of the stranger games then the gem system can seem very off putting.

Sfxt also has a much steeper learning and than sf4, as do most fighting games other than smash, which can make the different system look off putting.

It's not the gem system I'm worried about, I'm actually very excited to try that despite the negative response from the hundreds of people who haven't even used it yet. The gameplay just doesn't seem that exciting to me from what I've seen so far, probably because nobody has figured anything out yet. I just remember seeing videos for MvC3 and KoF XIII and generally being excited, I haven't found that yet with SFxT infact that Capcom stream tonight was painful to watch. The actual promo trailers they release, I have enjoyed. Just when I watch proper gameplay, I have my doubts.

.... but who am I kidding, we both know I'm going to buy it regardless.

play more umvc3! i hope sf x t will be more like cvs2 than sf4. it looks like capcom is adding more stuff than they can clew, but i hope it goes well.

playing a bit more of hdr recently. it is by far the least salty game when i lose, because it actually felt like i lost the game instead of some random online bs and t.hawk is so amazing in that game:).

although i was trolling online in umvc3 today on my bro's account. won 5 lost 2, both lost were to random super laggy slow-motion unblockable lv3 xfactor wesker, and yes i am very mad about that one. 4 of my 5 wins were against the same guy, he lost the first game and tried to random me out by picking wesker as his last character, only to get him snap killed or lamed out.

i beat him with his own team at the end and he is the first ever person i played and seen to get killed by dante's grapple hook:)

That's just standard Akuma stuff mate, his demon flip palm doesn't have much use anymore as it is no longer an overhead so I've started using his demon flip grab instead in resets and corner pressure.

Hyv I've been a bit MIA recently on UMvC3 I've been playing a lot offline trying to get more people around here to play the game more often, will get some games with you soon.
