Damnit. Voted yes when I meant no. Also, that is another thing. There will be no political battle if Scotland leave. We'll have a conservative government for ever.

I don't want a PIIGS on our doorstep, Dear Leader can't get his way. His idea of a prosperous Scotland is a fallacy and he's using peoples human nature of 'us vs them' to make five million people worse off is outrageous.

The United Kingdom is already slipping down the world rankings and that process will only speed up, our quality of life will be better if we stick together.

Give them independence and shut the border, just kidding lol

TBH we'll only save money until we need to bail them out like Greece :(

I Dont know, being Scottish. I just don't think Alex Salmond is the man to front the whole thing. Independance would be nice but why choose a time when the whole UK is having to row up stream with a tea spoon?

not too arsed but fi they want it sure.

but as a taff/member of the union i expect Westminster to absolutely destroy them in regards to dividing things up, like heather mill's divorce lawyer.

After all if they're leaving i want the best deal for me and the union, so repossess everything.

no no no.... Salmond is just an arse!!!!! grandstanding **** with the ego to match

heres an example of the "wisdom" of the SGHD (scottish gov health directorate ie Nicola Sturgeon and cohorts) theres a new policy in place... blanket no photocopying policy in effect in every nhs scotland hospital/place of business. Think about that for a second, think about how a lot of the hospitals are *teaching* hospitals..... the idiocy is phenomenal and does make me rage a bit

Think this is the biggest problem, no one knows what going to happen in regards to dividing things up. It could leave the rest of the UK in a worse position and Scotland will be better off. At the same time it could go the other way.

Most people seem to think on this thread that Scotland is subsidised by England, but its an incredibly complicated area and all depends how its split.

well put it this way, if it was paid for by the government i want it back.

hell send in the army engineers to get all the rail track back so we can sell it to pikies for scrap!

another bad area, what money paid for it scottish, UK?

going by that logic you want to keep all the debt bailing out the scottish banks then, the UK government paid for it. :p

Well we'll keep the banks :p

but basically if Scotland leave they're a foreign power, i expect them to be treated to their detriment to improve the British position in negotiations.

Scotland may receive more money per head for it's population but if it did split away and tie it's self to the Pound it will suffer rampant inflation for a few years at least, which will make things very very painful.

I'm Scottish. I will vote Yes. No more conservatives. Wahoo!

Until the New Scottish Conservative Party get elected by the newly installed Scottish middleclasses after several years of socialism taxing them to support ever increasing public sector costs......:p
