**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

Does anyone else know about having this A-Z way of listing their applications? Never seen it before and now it's kinda getting on my nerves cos it makes scrolling up and down even longer! Dunno if it's caused by an app I recently downloaded. Today I've downloaded Kindle, BBC News Mobile, TuneIn Radio, and The Weather Channel.

I've also seen it on one of my colleagues phones and she has no idea how she got it as well and uninstalling recent apps with no success.

Also what's better out of Maps and Nokia Maps? Im guessing the first is Bing's own one. Going to Spain next week and I'm planning to leave my iPhone at home and using this instead!

So after you've charged yours up overnight and disconnect it, does your present charge value show 1503?

I can't seem to charge mine to over 1300 despite showing 1503 max.

What firmware is your handset running? Nokia have released 2 firmwares to address the battery problem, the first enables the fast charging functions and updates the baseband drivers and the latest one enables the full battery. Iirc 1470mah ~

I'm on 1600.2479.7740.11451 and don't seem to have picked up the OTA update. I'm also on a Mac so I've attempted to kick off a firmware upgrade via the windows connector app. Says there's nothing newer.

I may have to faff about with boot camp and install Windows to see if the proper Zune software can sort it for me.

Absolutely loving the phone though, so slick, easy and accurate to type on compared to my SGSII! If I can get the battery sorted I'll get rid of my Android device.

The A-Z appears when you have over a certain number of apps; I can't remember exactly how many. Once if appears you can delete apps again and it won't disappear.

So add a few apps until it appears then you're set.

Nokia Maps is far better and actually has a useful turn by turn navigation.

1600.2483.8107.11501 is the current latest version. It's available on Nokia DPM and Nokia Care Suite. I would imagination it should be available on Zune shortly.

However, the latest firmware does have a annoying bug with the Capacitive hardware buttons no longer light up unless the screen is set to auto-brightness or low.

The battery can finally be charged to its max 1470Mha ~ capacity

do any of you guys know a (preferably free) app that will allow me to use the phone as a touchpad remote on a mac as well as a windows pc? I have 2 HTPCs that I want to use it on.

The comments for this phone sound extremely promising for Nokia. This thread alone represents how good the phone is and with future updates even better.

Nice.

It's by far the best phone I've ever owned, I've even had several people ask me what phone it is and I've had to show them to which they now want one!

my only gripe is this bloody battery issue, I'm not even getting 10 hours out of it.

Mines lasting over a day but I aint using it heavily yet, aint had time!

Took off charge this morning and same as a few above, 1300mah, aint a clue which software revision is on it but gonna update this w/e.

If its that bad I would send it back...Nokias own admission said their may have been a small batch that jsut wont update right, im getting near 2 days out of it.

Anyone know how I can sync my Google Notes to it? Going on holiday in a week and would like to have my notes to hand. If it's not possible, I'll just have to resort to making a copy of those notes on Evernote or something.

I've been using the Lumia for a week now, finally got it updated to 8107 and the battery now lasts a full day with my usage.

Biggest disappointment for me is the music playback quality. There's a distinct lack of bass regardless of the headphones you use (Beats Pro in my case). Compared to both my iPhone 4S and Desire HD it just doesn't compare - and thats a real shame.

argh ffs, I'm trying to set up my email on another one and it's not having it again, these things seem intentionally awkward about email which is frustrating.

Not had a single issue with accounts on mine. I have Google Mail, Hotmail, Facebook + Work email. All working fine.

I also wish the battery would last a little longer. But it is still quite new software wise. We'll have to wait and see.

Who should I contact though, my contract is with Orange, do I go through Orange or Nokia?

all I use is Wifi on with my e-mails being pulled once an hour, It was at 98% this morning and after using 3G for 15 minutes and view a normal desktop site for some info, an hour of calls and some texts it's at 50% being last on charge 6 hours ago.

I would say Orange first, if they are useless I blieve Nokia have set up a way to return faulty ones with battery issues as they have accepted their was a problem with some of them even with teh firmware update.

Had to do a hard reset on mine to remove my main windows live account, I didn't want it on the phone with facebook etc as well, my contacts list was impossible to manage lol. You can't delete the first live account you add, without a hard reset.

So, back to square one, just put Zune on my netbook and updated the phone but it has the 11451 release on there, not the 11501 release, it can't find that via Zune.

Can anyone help, I want to save my phone numbers from the phone to the new micro sim, how am I going to do this for back ups sake? I truely cannot find an option to copy them over, despite someone above saying how "easy" it is?

And whilst I'm here, can you make the phone vibrate for more than one second when on silent for texts etc?

Think I'll wait for this second update, if that doesn't work I'll be letting them know. I know smartphones have a particularly bad battery compared to normal mobile phones but what I'm getting is pretty bad even with wifi off and everything.

The 11501 update won't come through to everyone at once. It all depends on what network you are on & what colour the phone is.
