Jesus! that certainly gone up in price and size.
i had one of the earlier versions, 8 i think it was, even then that was a massive size, really good sim, i bought it on an impulse because i found it going cheap, unfortunately flight sims were never really my thing, so after the novelty wore off, i never really stuck with it.

LOL thats a fair bit for just a demo! somehow dont think the missus parents are going to like me hogging their internet connection for that time since they're only on a 1mbit :eek:

I heard that they're planning the 8 DVD for the full version, interesting that their site does not note the space consumption of hdd but doing some quick calculations:

Dual Layer is about 8.5GB so times that by 8 is 68GB then depending on compression levels you could be really hitting the numbers!

would love to, however i know deep down as i said previously after a couple of hours i'd put it down and never touch it again.:(

I guess the size is a contributing factor but would be nice to have the option. I hate installing from DVD's :(

if its like 8 then if i recall correctly the hires textures had to be download after installing, they didnt come with the initial install, there was however an edition with all the DVD's containing the textrues included.
