Police probe after children find mobile phone with picture of laughing mortuary embalmer holding up a severed head

A gruesome image found on a mobile phone showing an embalmer laughing as he holds aloft a severed head was today at the centre of a police investigation.

The sickening picture, which features a man named as David Amor smirking at the camera, was on a phone found in a ditch in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, by two young children over the weekend.

It is one of three images on the phone that show the decapitated body, believed to have been hit by a train.

The disturbing shot is understood to have been taken as 26-year-old Mr Amor worked in a mortuary to preserve the body of the dead man until his funeral could take place.

What do you make of this? Would you have shopped this guy to the police?

I imagine some people might make the argument that you need a sense of humour when dealing with corpses all day as it's not a particularly pleasant thing to be doing. However, taking pictures is a bit bizarre.

ah man not the daily Mail again, seriously you need big balls to be doing that job - I for one would go mad so im not surprised hes trying to lighten it up a bit.
Plus I see no reference to how the body got hit by a train - I presume Suicide? Its just a typical A-sided article with no actually depth at all.

You'd lose your head if it wasn't attach......oops too late.

Don't mean to cause offense Rob, but you come across as very sensitive, I bet you don't even like South Park

I'm anything but sensitive. No need to get upset because I called you a troll in that other thread.

It's surely a bit disrespectful to the dead person and their friends/relatives?

I certainly wouldn't be happy if it was a relative of mine he was mucking around with.

I'm not upset, but me and u seem to class on everything lol

You say you're anything but sensitive, yet you get offended when I say I don't brake for cats?

I wouldn't care. When you're dead you're dead.

Someone has to do that job, good on him for making light of it all.

I'm fairly sure that would bother most people.

Anyway, keep it in that other thread.

South Park is just toilet humour....it is ok if you have such an unsophisticated type of mentality, but while it can be amusing on occasion I think it is totally over-rated. Depends on my frame of mood.

As for the OP:

I suppose it could be seen as desecration of a human body.....in any case it is in very poor taste, this is not a joke body or a prop in a comedy sketch...it was a real live human being once and what would you feel if that was your Father/Mother/Brother/Sister's head he was having a cheap laugh with.

He is an embalmer and his position demands that all people who pass through his hands are dealt with respect and are certainly not used to a cheap joke down the pub.....can you imagine the upset this could cause to the family of the deceased.

Whether it is illegal or not, who can say...but he certainly should be disciplined by his employer at the very least and amusing to the casual observer or not his actions certainly are not acceptable for someone in his position.

this issue aside I think you lose a lot of respect if you end up dead by suicide, you dont just happen to get run over by a train by accident (it would have made national news).
