****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

There's a demo of Resident Evil Revelations on the E Shop now.

thanks, downloaded and played, it's great, and i'm buying. Don't know if it's worth gettiing the extra controller addon as seemed to be fine without it, does it come with game?

edit - i see now. it's a bundle exclusive to 1 store name only

Really impressed with the graphics...unsure if I will play 3D or non-3D...that is the question...

Will be interesting to see it with the Circle Pad Pro as apparently you can move and shoot with that so a different gameplay mechanic altogether right there.

Definitely a survival horror title...thank god for that!

Just downloading the Revelations demo, I'll post my impressions when I've had a playthrough. :)

Please do, i hear its back to its old survival roots unlike RE4&5.

I got the extra analogue controller on its way, i hear its meant to be pretty good for this game and the new monster hunter when it comes out.

I hope Zavvi have it delivered for the 27th. I do doubt it though.

In the past I've had games before the release date, on the scheduled date and also late so I guess there's no telling.

I just gave the demo a play and I was quite impressed, it's the first game that I've also preferred with a bit of 3D as I usually turn the slider to the off position. The enemies were Silent Hill esque and anything is better than the Majini from RE5! The atmosphere was fantastic, really spooky and it didn't really feel like I was on a ship at all. Obviously there's only so much you can tell from a demo that only lasts a few minutes.

I turned the aiming from first person to third person which I preferred, the graphics were surprisingly good for a Nintendo handheld as well! One thing I will say is that the game didn't give me much idea of what to do with the items in my inventory. I picked up some custom gun parts and it didn't tell me which gun they were for, or how to apply them. Overall though it's quite promising, at least it doesn't seem to be a great big arcadey action fest. :)

Apparently 3DS is getting Monster Hunter 4 as well as Tri G. Good times. :p

Sounds like what I had in mind Killswitch. :D

I'm really excited for it.

I have to see the last 3 months have been really good for the 3DS. There are some great games out (I don't play often enough to need loads!) plus the online is slowly but surely getting there- I spent over an hour last night downloading the demo, trying out Nintendo Letters, reading reviews and watching videos of games, and I bought Zen pinball in December too which is really nice.

Turning out to be a nice wee console.
