Alan Wake now appears to be heading to Steam!!

Meh, I'm still glad this is coming to PC.

A game is a game. I'm not really bothered about the politics behind it.

I hate to moan but I thought the game was rather "Meh" it's alright nothing special. I wont get this on PC even if it did go down to £5 in sale, waste of money..

"I have to say the game is starting to look pretty good with NVISION 2 3D, higher quality volumetric lights, always enabled god rays with high quality (these were enabled on the 360 in only a few specific scenes due to perf issues), 8xAA, 8xAniso, FXAA, ultra high quality SSAO, longer LOD distances etc."

A scary number of PC gamers are interested in this game when Remedy posted these images on their facebook page a few hours ago it took down the alanwake.com website!!!!

Oh my goodness. That looks pretty damn good with the three monitor setup.
I know :) they put it up because me & several others asked them to on the official forums the actual producers @ Remedy are really going all out for this release & have given a lot of detailed info here already. You have any questions just head over there & ask away even though they are currently working 24/7 to get the PC finished they still answer most questions quite quickly & really care about this release as they are self publishing & want it to be as good as it can within the time/budget constraints.

Yes, a game on 5yr+ old hardware vs current gen hardware. Nice comparison skills yo. Alan Wake looked superb on the 360 back when it came out a good few years back.

Sadly you can't polish a turd. Gameplay was linear and predictable, with only the story and the very well done environments being the game's saving grace. I enjoyed trudging through all the locations but bugger me, after the 30mins, you'll be sick to death of the same repetitious enemies.

Very good because Remedy have some very clever technical people who started off on the PC demo scene & know the hardware inside out so can extract a lot of special tricks out of it. The 360 should not even be able to play Alan Wake its a technical miracle Remedy managed to squeeze so much out of it considering the game world size & virtually zero loading times (its all preloaded in the background as you play so minimal loading times on PC it will be better still).

Any game which can afford to have David Bowie's Space Oddity  playing in the credits shows you how much effort/money was put into the experience ;)

If you love survival horror games which are strong on atmosphere & story then you will love Alan Wake as its a cross between Stephen King, Twin Peaks & The Twilight Zone :D
