*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

That's where my Marauder got hers :)

Marauder favouritism!!

I shall need to go to the SWTOR forums and make an angry thread about the lack of curved things for Juggernauts!!

I also have a curved one on my marauder, I can't remember where I got it. Was probably from the same quest line as you though.

Why care about something hidden by your hand all the time anyway :/

I mean at least I've got a reason to be picky when my weapon is about the size of the smallest female character.

I've NEVER been able to really see what someones sabre looks like.

This thread has taken a direction I wasn't expecting ;)

As long as it works, I could not care less :), or as long as we wiping the Sith on Ilum, I could carry a broomstick and still be happy :)

Thinking of trying a split talent tree for my vanguard.

Anybody had much experience of going the tank tree all the way upto & including storm/crit bonus for stockstrike.

The working up the middle tree for the stab damage/dot ability - I'd lose the end tank tree ability + 10% shield chance - but I'd gain quite a bit of damage from the middle tree/

Yeah, I use a full tanking build on my Vanguard. If you're purely interested in tanking I would not bother with Gut and would stick to Energy Blast. If you're going for some sort of hybrid to do DPS but wouldn't act as a main tank, then I'd consider looking into a 21/2/18 build as Tactics is a bit rubbish. You could probably still tank some flashpoints with a 21/2/18, but you'll be making your healers job harder than it needs to be.

NOW RECRUITING 'CLASS OFFICERS'!!

The Immortals are now actively recruiting Lieutenant - Class Officers to join the officer ranks in the guild. The Guild structure has one such officer for each advanced class and they are an integral part of the guild management team.

As well as generic officer duties within the guild, Class Officers have the following specific responsibilities:

> All class issues that relate to their relevant advanced class. This includes a key role in advising, developing, guiding and sign-posting other guild members of that advanced class in matters such as equipment, tactics, abilities, specs, etc, etc This means being visible both in-game and on the Guild website forums.

> All promotions up to an including Sergeant for players of their relevant advanced class (taking note of the minimum expectations)

> Recruitment to the guild. All officers can passively recruit (i.e. have the ability) but Class Officers have a core role to 'actively' recruit new players. They will understand where the gaps are within their relevant advanced class, be that new low-level players or level 50's, etc, and will actively recruit to fill them. Where there are no obvious gaps Class Officers will always be actively on the look-out for potential new quality guild members. This could be in-game, on the SW:TOR forums, or on linked websites. (Note: The Immortals have some basic rules around recruitment such as 18+, use of mumble, the need to submit a application on the website, etc and we NEVER spam recruitment in-game. Class Officers will know these inside out)

You will note from these specific responsibilities that Class Officers need to know their own class inside out, so by virtue of this will need to be of a sufficiently high level to justify the appointment.

The Immortals is the largest Republic Guild on the Nimon Server and is growing on a daily basis and as a Class Officer there is a real opportunity to help shape the guild in SW:TOR for what will hopefully be many months and years of gaming to come. We currently have vacancies for Class Officers for all advanced classes EXCEPT Commando, so if you think you have what it takes message Sengar through the website or post on the Officer Recruitment thread (which you also need to read):

Thanks for reading.

:( Sounds a bit like a job :p

The problem is, with the right hand tree you aint going to be using the ion cell - which with the talents in mid/left get's a pretty significant boost (along with the armour/slow for pvp).

How good is gut at high levels? (still only L27).

Nah on a 21/2/18 or slight variation (also known as the Parakeet build) you'd be skipping Plasma Cell talents where possible from Assault (right side) and purely taking damage increasing talents, the spec has good synergy also. You'd still be using Ion Cell, although you could opt for Plasma for dailies or something but you'd definitely want Ion for PvP. Gut a high level is decent, but Incendiary Round is much better due to it being elemental and causing a burning effect.

Example of the Parakeet: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801GRG0bRboZ0MZbIbbdh.1

Thanks, I'll check over it later - still got some leveling to do on that guy now I've done my sith warrior.

Got too many split alts.

32 commando, 27 vanguard, 23 powertech, 22 sorcerer, 50 sith warrior, 19 operative, 23 assassin lol.. + lots of 15's for each class combo.

One thing that disappointed me yesterday was getting my first Republic character to level 10 and up to the space station to find it was exactly the same as the Imperial one. I really thought it'd de different.

oooh that made me think, boarding Party, the fist "instance" is it the same? or do you fight a Sith lord at the end?:rolleyes::)

Why? Simply, because I do notice them.

I first noticed one on a high level character on Dromind Kaas shortly after getting the game. I liked the look and I'd like one myself.

I have one on my marauder and would have liked two.

I later switched to Juggernaut and I prefer the class, but can't find the same saber. Or any curved hilt saber.

Some people really do notice the sabers, I've been asked a few times why I still have the starter "Ancient" light saber at times

Am I missing something here? I am playing my first healer and sending my pet in to fight. On other mmo's, when you target someone you can also assist but I can't seem to here so I have to keep changing targets to heal/damage.

Am I missing something?

3rd Ilum run and third time we smashed the sith we wen tin with 2 groups today, and funny thing the other group went a bit Willy nilly and got wiped by a group of 25/30 sith (both our groups were roughly 12/16).

We then engaged the same group that wiped our first group and as we stayed tight and disciplined we killed them, and then again with only one of us dying ... it was loverly :)
