my connection to astraweb through grabit no longer works and i can't even access their website. i imagine sky have blocked me.

any suggestions of a workaround?

cheers

i wasn't using ssl just the us server

every time i've tried ssl in the past (and since it stopped working) i can't connect (tried 119, 563 and 443).

i'm assuming it's the isp because their website won't load.

not using ssl is pretty dumb tbh. Try the other servers, there's an eu one and a non geographic one. I was using 443 for a while, switched to 563, works pretty damned well.

bit difficult to when it won't work for me.

tried all ssl servers on both 443 and 563 but no luck.

you must have a config problem. The servers are fine. Maybe your astraweb payment hasn't went through ? What do the logs say? Could be your ISP though. Can you get through on 3G on your phone?

Not using SSL Encryption is just asking for trouble

As said, works fine, sounds like something wrong with the config

ssl has never connected for me. config is fine. paid and up to date.

used ssl.astraweb.com
ssl-eu and ssl-us

i can't access astraweb's website either which is why i think it's the isp.

Can you access the website through a proxy?

Sounds a bit suspicious really, maybe do a shoutout any see if anyone else on Sky getting the same? could they have targeted your IP if you havnt been using SSL?

No problems using the astraweb's eu ssl servers via sky from here. I never had much success using SSL with grabit (at least on older versions), and use stunnel instead.

I would say try using SABnzbd, however that doesn't explain why you cannot access their site. What happens when you try and ping their domain? Or do a trace route and see where its failing?

Sky customer here, using Astraweb with SSL without any problems. Can access the website fine as well.

I use Sabnzbd to download.

This is something deeper than ssl guys, although he should be using it. Not being able to get to the site is v worrying. However a traceroute is what we need
