what u do i opener with thermal detonator and incendiary missile. get on top off them and spam flame burst. when rail shot is open always fire railshot. it becomes free and dont cost heat. uppercut when u can and repeat. nice to keep dots up with incendairy missile when u can. i can assure u its a very good spec and i wont be changing for a long time. let me know how u get on ;)

I went for Advanced prototype, and I was wondering what the hell was going on with your buttons :P

I will be trying to be a off tank when raiding starts so will stay with my build for now, yet yours does look interesting :D

I will have a look at that what u chose but I like my Advanced prototype build :)

Tried some PVP last night, Now in WoW I wasnt really a fan of it as I was quite rubbish at it but yesterday I actually had a lot of fun.

Probably the highest level on my team (35 - Sith Sorceror) and was playing with friends who were level 12 and 14 and we still managed to beat level 40's. Somone said staying together is the key and I can totally agree, managed to get the MVP from both healing and damaging at the same time.

Seemed quite balanced for pvp, is it the same at 50 or is it just all the highly ranked and geared people steam rolling the newbies?

Been trying to get this, outside of Warzones I can crit heal for 5.4K, inside, I don't get anywhere near using the same Relic & Potency combo. Not sure what could be causing that :confused:

I'm not sure if my resolve bar was high - i've also got a fair bit of PvP gear on so not sure how the expertise will help also - it's difficult to do - I think i've done it 3 times in the last 50 games or so... :)
 
Just posted this on the Immortals Guild forum, thought I'd post it here too. I stumbled across a post on the official SWTOR forum from someone claiming that running Fraps and then launching the game actually increased the framerate and responsiveness of the game. I was sceptical at first, but thought I'd give it a try and sure enough, I am now getting a far smoother and higher framerate than I was before. On the fleet I can actually move around properly without my PC grinding to a halt. Sometimes it jerks and stutters, but it is nowhere near as bad now. I don't claim to understand why this worked for me, and a friend of mine, but it has. Crazy but awesome as I was beginning to lose heart at the fact that the game isn't working as it should.

Yeah, i read this last night and tried it, does seem to work...
 
Hows this for a weird bug for Sniper :)


1st time i have seen it do that since the start. Possible patch issue? anyone else seen it?
It actually loks funny when i deploy the cover :D
Either way only way i could get out of it was quitting. :(

Maybe I have a talent that ups the healing % on me or something, as i'm only testing healing myself. Can't remember if i'm honest.

Must confess I've often seen FRAPS referred to on here but never actually used it - is it enough to just have it running in the background at the same time as TOR, or does it actually have to be recording game footage in order to get the FPS increase?

Sounds completely counter-intuitive, but if you guys say it works, that's good enough for me!

It just needs to run with the FPS overlay in one of the corners of the screen. Recording will slow it down to whatever FPS you limit it to for the recording. Just set it to run when Windows loads, and then when you play SWTOR it'll already be running :)

u lost right, like a load of noobs u go for the kills and the medals but not the objectives .. yeah I'm saying you cant play! :o ..and that 1 death tells me you were playing for yourself!!

That means they were quitting and being replaced while a few on your side were rolling them for kills and I note there's a sorc and a BH who were VERY busy healing and shielding you.

Despite you rolling them for kills so much all game that loads quit, they won the game.

I wouldn't say you can't play but in that game your entire side was not playing for the objectives and got beaten by a much weaker combat team who did.

I think the kills disparity is a result of how kills are awarded in WZ's to be honest.

I think it works along the lines of when they die and you are still in combat and have done damage to them, guarding someone who has damaged them or healed someone who has damaged them.... then you get a kill awarded.

Strange system, but seems to fit with what I see in WZ's.

Isnt this how it happened in WoW? If you were remotly near the person who dies you get the credit for it, if you hit them or not.

Killing blows are the real deal :p

There is a 30% healing debuff in PvP and for short while after leaving PvP combat. The medals also require no overhealing.

i can say before fraps was getting 10 fps in illum mass pvp. now with fraps running smooth as silk getting 35 fps. im happy chappy. will post vid.

Or..... the rest of his team sucked and he was pulling as much weight as he could, but alas, there's 7 other people to count on which didn't help much.

Had it a few times, but I go for objectives too.
