Top Gear brilliant.

Tonights was brilliant, those cars! Dam I would love to have one of them for a day hooning around some test track. Hammond lol, talk about unlucky with the gearbox lol.

I call Alonso as the Stig, pretty sure it was him as he walked like him and drove like him from the videos I've seen in a road car.

Anyone else notice that Hammond did the track in a full racing suit while the others wore just a helmet? I'm assuming it's because of the crash he had.

I noticed, but it is only a flame retardant suit. Probably find its something as simple as safety features not existent on the Noble (automatic fuel shutoff in the even of a collision..)

Unburnt fuel burning in the hot exhaust as it meets oxygen. Colour is due to the mixture, think of a gas hob, that burns blue.

Surely that would be more yellow? Unoxygenated and rich is yellow, why would there be so much oxygmm in the exhaust gas, if any at all.

Also I think the flames continued after the gear changes too

Yes it's running rich under power so will glow then.

The oxygen is coming from the air. The system may have an air inlet bleed as part of the tailpipe. Or simple taking the oxygen from the atmosphere around the exit

Not really sure why you feel the need to try and disagree.

I think there must be more to the flames. Perhaps material used in the exhaust is giving the flame colour too, and I'm sure I saw it blowing a continuous flame on open throttle

They've certainly used him before. Could also have Been Fisichella, he's still on the Ferrari payroll. Drove last years F1 car at the tail end of last year.

Really enjoyed last nights episode, the Lambo is full of want, i'd be transfixed to the dashboard all day long lol. Will.I.Am is a strange man!

You need a hot tailpipe, not many cars can get it that hot under full power
