2012 Weight Loss Thread

Sunday night update:

weightlosse.jpg

Getting back on track after a poor start. Another week the same should see me back on target by next sunday.

I have been quite strict with what i eat this week. Using MyFitnessPal app to track what calories i have been eating each day. I have went over the target calories a few days, but never by more than 75, so im quite pleased with that. I didnt bother to log anything over the weekend, but i did try to eat less than a normal weekend.

Plans for next week are to keep doing the same through the week and maybe try to log what i eat next weekend, or at least cut it down a little more.

If anybody is interested, this is what i eat each weekday:

Breakfast:
-2 boiled eggs on a slice of wholemeal toast
-Espresso

Lunch:
-Pack of cooked chicken (200g)
-Box of salad
-Balsamic dressing
-Banana
-Sometimes a few cashew nuts

Supper:
-Whatever parents are having, but being careful of quantities.

Snacks:
Trying very hard not to eat anything other than my main meals - succeeding most of the time :D
3-4 cups of coffee at work and 1-2 cups of tea at home in the evening.
All with semi-skimmed milk.

Going to do some fasted 5x5 today and go pick up some scales, so I can actually measure my loss (or gain) accurately.

Forth week weigh in:

Last Sunday - 21st 13lb
This Sunday - 21st 8lb

5lb loss :o

Going to start making bulking my meals up with a bit more veg as 5lb a week seems a bit much. Really pleased none the less.

(Total loss since September '11 - 4st 5lb )

3rd weigh in for

Last Monday: 101.9kg
This Monday: 101.2kg

Actually weighed less than this during the week, so not sure why I weighed more this morning doh.

Weight loss has slowed down somewhat, but going to hammer some cardio to get back on track

Week 4 Weigh in:

Starting weight beginning of January 14st 6lb
Target weight end of June 11st

Last Monday 13st 10lb
This Monday 13st 7lb

3lb lost

After last weeks 1.5lb loss I'm very happy to have lost 3lb this week, I really need to start getting in to some proper exercise routines though. Also need to start cycling to work but it's so darn cold, dark and sometimes wet at 6.30am :(

Good to see people regularly posting their weight loss, Keep it up everyone :)

Great to see so many people sticking with this and posting great losses! Let's hope it continues beyond January :)

I did weights and then spin this morning, struggled a bit to be honest. Need to move my routine around a bit to try and make sure I don't do them in the same session again.

Started getting the first comments from people telling me that I look thinner which is a huge motivational boost.

Keep it up everyone

Thought I would drop in and give an update on my progress.

03/01/2012 - 237lb
31/01/2012 - 229lb

So a 8lb loss so far

'Relatively' pleased with that, maybe expected a little more. Diet has gotten a lot better, prob been around the 1800 calorie mark but have been doing spin classes roughly 5 days a week.

My first goal is the 16 stone mark, looking to hit that in the next couple of weeks. Clothes are deffo fitting a bit better and I'm down a notch on the belt, so all going in the right direction so far!

Last Wenesday: 18st
This Wednesday: 17st 11lbs

Loss of 3lb :)

Rowing 40 minutes everyday and a calorie intake of 1500-1800.

Signing up to the gym this weekend, should hopefully see more significant weight loss, still pretty happy with 3lb a week though!

Does everyone have a certain date they want to achieve xx weight by or is this generally long time? (or just to get rid of the xmas podge :p).

I am like the tortoise in Aesop's fable. Slow but sure. :D My spreadsheet says I will reach target by 1st April 2013 at roughly 1.5lb per week.

I'm just losing mine with gradual but sustainable dieting, started last February and stopped in August, managed to keep the weight off (well I put on 2lbs, which is nothing over 4 months) and I've started trying to lose it again.

So far I've lost close to 5 stone, and aim to lose another 3 stone over this spring/summer.

I started at about 93kg in late November with the aim of getting to 78kg by mid-March (family visiting from the UK), currently at 83.5kg so pretty much on track!

Once you get started it actually becomes easier, you and other people notice the difference and if you ever need encouragement then just whip out some old 'fat' photos to remind yourself how well you're doing (and why you're doing it!).

I went passed the big mirror at work today and actually double took, always the pick me up you need when your off to eat a salad! #lookinggood
