Cap would mean £82.40 less each week

I can solve this for them.

No mobile phones (£32 a week!!!!)
No Sky TV
No pub visits
No 24 cans of lager, 200 cigarettes and a large pouch of tobacco

Solved.

Phone + internet and sky tv as well. These are a luxury and if you cant afford them get a job or cancel them.

Internet is required, it saves more money then it costs when put to good use.

Also with school work it must help.

There is no excuse and until we stop being such a soft touch as a nation, this issue will persist. He chose to have 7 children and should have been told after the first that he would get no more help with subsequent ones.

What sort of example does it set to children having two scumbag parents that can't be bothered to work. He was a software engineer for christ sake. He didn't need to retrain, he just needed to be less of a lazy ****.

I genuinely believe that some people need neutering for the future of the world. How can we let such idiots breed. He has 7 children for christ sake. Show me a working family with 7 children and I will be amazed.

Long term claiming benefits with no one working at all in a household (IE: 5 years or more) + 3 children = compulsory sterilization.

I'm 100% serious and would implement that exact policy if I could.

Says Ray: "The market for my skills dried up 10 years ago - there's a total lack of work in my area of expertise."

Then get another job in a different profession, I don't understand this idea that if you cant find a job in your area of expertise there is not any jobs.

Better to have a job and earning something than sitting around on the dole.

This, makes me sick they will get £26k for nothing.

It's even more fun when you realise that the average uk salary is only around £25k if I recall pretax, and then realise how many people are needed to pay their taxes solely to support 1 family like this, all the same while having less income AND less free time to actually enjoy life.

Thats not even the stupid part. Thats like saying "I used to work at tesco but the market for my skills dried up".

Writing software is writing software. Educational software is no different so he is just making excuses for why he is a lazy ****.

Men are not real men in this day and age, my Dad had to walk over 10 miles to get to work then 10 miles back everyday when we had a rough patch when I was a kid, not many would do that now.

Yup same for my dad, although a mechanic by trade he lost a job when I was a kid. There wasn't much about so he got two jobs, one as a postie and the other working behind the bar in a pub until he was able to find something else in the motor trade.

Long term benefits should be capped at no more than the minimum wage after tax.

Assuming we're just talking about the unemployed, then yes, I agree. Those who have severe disabilities and need expensive things like full time care etc should get whatever they need.

The problem is actually that people like Raymond are the ones doing more of the breeding, bringing up kids with similar attitudes. The human race is actually devolving thanks to our current benefits system.

Of course it will be people like Raymond moaning about banker's bonuses.

Thats the worst part of it though. The people that deserve / need benefits don't get what they need because so many people are abusing the system.

Bet that has taught you you would also do the same if you ever have a rough patch seeing your Dad work his butt off. I know I would and have done kind of the same thing but mine was more hours based. Like said before these kids see their parents sitting around drinking/smoking they will do exactly the same if they have a rough patch in the future. We saw real men as a kid to look up to.

I am also sure many many others here also had/have parents who worked like crazy to support his wife/kids.

Yep, my dad gave up his job to get a better paying one when we were born and my mum was working throughout the pregnancies and was straight back to work afterwards.

I have no idea where the idea came from that having two lazy, good for nothing parents at home with the children is good for their development .
