Nvidia GeForce 295.51 - BETA

With these drivers:

Without: low fps on skyrim. :/!

i got this too. tried all sorts but in the end had to delete and reinstall the game.

now its reinstalled though its working fine with this new beta driver.

The TDR issue is only really a problem for a limited selection of GTX460 cards with certain motherboards and some GTX560 cards (may be related to motherboard compatibility but I don't think anyones 100% got down to the root of the problem) you _shouldn't_ see the issue with GTX470s.

As mentioned above nVidia seem to be holding off on a WHQL release until the TDR issues are ironed out.

I've had this with a GT430 and a GT530 in my office PC where I must get this crash 50 times a day. Its pretty annoying. It happens on my boss' similar PC too but as he has an SSD its hardly noticeable.

Noticed a bug with BF3 and this driver. When I alt+F4 it makes my game do the 'not responding' error. Although I exiting it anyway, i just thought I would let people know.

Anyone else get full 3D clocks when using GPU acceleration with videos? Kind of annoying because temperatures and fan speed go up.

Why use hardware acc for youtube? Or are you talking about DVD/.avi?

On a separate note: This beta has fewer flickering textures in Rise of Flight and Silent Hunter 5 for me.

I'm gonna roll back to the 290.66 drivers as these cause BF3 to crash for me, regardless of overclocks etc. Had the same issue with the 295.13 beta driver, which was crap.

The full 3D clocks appears to be a bug btw, with 120hz monitors being stuck in 3D mode. Anything above 60hz now gets this bug. Very annoying.

You mean 290.53 drivers?

Anyone else having issues with new drivers?

Nope. I mean what I put :)

290.66 is a TDR test driver for users that are experiencing TDRs. If you wanna test it out, drop me an email with info on what card you are using and I'll forward you a direct download link from nvidia.

To note, DO NOT USE THESE DRIVERS IF YOU RUN SWTOR, as these cause a pink artifact based crash on most nvidia cards. Problem with the pixel shader code linked to the game clashing with the driver. If you play that game, avoid these.

Yep, had just come here to post about exactly the same thing, for me it was affecting several steam games I tried - skyrim, dead island, fallout new Vegas and witcher 2 all gave that error 51.

Have gone back to previous beta 290.53 and they all launch fine again.

Lots of low 3D Vision ratings in that update :(

Kingdoms of Amalur being rated Fair is very disappointing, was looking forward to playing this game in 3D as it seemed like it would suit the game from what i played of the demo.

Ah ok. Have you noticed a good change with the 290.66's? Gonna give them a test run tonight. I noticed with these latest drivers, my clocks I used for Unigine before, wouldnt work with the new ones.

Yeah VERY stable drivers for me, especially in BF3. 290.33 and 295.51 betas cause a directX crash in BF3 on my system.
