Hi Guys

The call for an ultra pure Kill Coil has been answered. Mayhems products all go under intensive testing and this Coil is no exception.

I asked for kill coils from Mayhems a while ago and their response was they they simply weren't happy with the quality of raw materials.

This has changed recently and an ultra pure coil is now in stock and ready to ship.

This is a perfect compliment to Mayhems Ultra Pure H20 Watercooling Fluid 1L

Mayhems Silver Coil is a Silver Coil made in the UK using the highest grade fine English Silver. Its is made with 99.999% fine silver and will not corrode or rust like some other coils out there on the market.

The coils ate 8cm long, 3cm wide and 0.03cm thick

Each coil is acid cleaned and then placed in a sealed bag and then placed in a sealed bottle.

We recommend you use one coil per ½ a Ltr of water. So two coils for 1 Ltr of water.

These could will fit any diameter of tubing.

Do you need this if your using h20 ultra pure and mayhems biocide
my WC setup consists of EN nickel plexi cpu and gpu, sr1-480 and EK tube res with D5 pump if i need this tell me now please lol :)

Apparently, this stuff is supposed to be the real deal (don't ask ... was following a thread a while back on pulse silver coils) ... unlike the pulse modding *battery* you end up with after a couple of months :eek:

Very tempted to grab two if these :)

The reason why we suggest 2 Per ltr which a lot of ppl do not realise is 1 coil is not enough. If you read on other forums you'll find ppl only using one coil later on down the line have problems in 1 ltr of liquid.

This is not a sales tactic to make you buy more as you will buy what you want at the end of the day but our advise from testing and all so working out how much silver ion is picked up from 1 coil and having 2 coils works out much better. This is all so dependant on your flow and the amount of liquid in you system how ever we test on 10w and 18w DDC pumps which is the same as most users.

@inSilica :) yes im very picky over what silver we use. Much to the Annoyance of my partner who has to foot the bill for the amount of silver i have thrown in the bin lol.

i've seen a lot of tests on silver killl coils causing pipe clouding due to the magnectic field induced on the silver. This was even more obvious when the coil was placed closer to a PSU or pump is this something you've observed at all in your testing.

@MICK, are the biocide and 2 killl coils per litre exactly the same effect wise?
 
We have noticed clouding on some of the Chinese coils in the past how ever not on this new silver. But that does not mean it will not happen with these. My loops pass near the power supply but i dont have the coils near the power supply. we tested by placing 1 coil in the res and 1 coil in the out let tube after the rad.

We kept a check on the TDS and daily its started to rise as the ions got into the system. It normally takes 1 week how ever from placing the coils in the loop to them actually becoming effective.

Personally i would suggest that if your going to use coils i would drop 1 in a 1 Ltr bottle of Di or you fav water 1 week before you start using the fluid that way it has started to add the ions into the water before you use it.

Before any one else asks as ive all ready been asked this. These coils are a little more expensive due to using British Silver, this is more expensive then Chinese import silver. if you lucky you may get 1 peace in 100 that has the Silver hall mark on it showing were its has come from and other details.
