Also.. Worst wipers ever. Why have the camera positioned in part of the windscreen that isn't being wiped?

My wipers were doing the same on Saturday afternoon on the motorway. It was raining but so cold the rain was freezing on my cars appendages like the mirrors and wipers. The wipers wouldn't work at times as they were freezing up solid! I think this is flaw of using retro fit flat wipers on a 17 year old car.
