Fat...?

Dont like her face too square, therefore the rest doesn't matter. I'm very shallow.

Yes but the worry is that if this sets a precedent, then women will think it is acceptable to be overweight.

I can't believe anyone thinks that she has a healthy weight/figure for a 20 year old woman
"Women will think it's acceptable to be overweight" -.....?.

Are you aware of the kind of language you are using?.

While it may not be healthy, people are free to make up there own minds - acceptance should be mandatory - as long as they don't say "THIS WOMEN IS THE PERFECT WEIGHT FOR HEALTH" beneath it, I fail to see what the problem is.

So you think it would be absolutely fine if everyone decided to be hugely obese then?

Is she overweight though, or are you just comparing it to some misguided misogynistic idea that the media has forced upon you?

Why can't she be of that size if she wants to be? Are women now not allowed to gorge on cream cakes because you don't think it's acceptable?

She isn't hugely obese.

Ha. I am not basing it on the media's portrayal of women at all. I am basing it on modern medical advice.

Or should we ignore that and all become fat?

I never said she was...?

I thought you were perhaps implying it, just wanted to clear that up. Sorry that I misjudged that part of your statement.

Again, what is the limit for being 'overweight' and how do we know that she is unhealthy?

I don't understand that second part...

If you give people an inch they will take a mile. If we start spouting that it's fine to be overweight, what's the next step?

"Oh that woman is just a little bit more than overweight, and overweight is acceptable, so surely it's fine to be a little bit over?"

And then the next step will start...

And then we will have an NHS overloaded dealing with all the fatties.

Well, it's not fine for there health - but that's not my choice to make, they don't need my support on getting fat.

Besides, you said acceptance not "fine".

While good health should be promoted it's absurd to suggest that having a model that isn't super thin is going to cause 1000's of girls to go out & start cramming pies.

If anything it may alleviate the depression (which for women often leads to comfort eating) if our culture becomes a little more accepting (key word) of people of different sizes.

I prefer girls to be 10/12...

... but it's so easy to get on the sex offenders register these days that it's not worth the hassle :(

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, amiright fellas? ;)

ok then :(

Slippery slope fallacy says hi.

Tubby or not tubby... fat, is the question

I lol'd

I think people are missing the point a bit, this is to get curvy wimmin to buy skimpy underwear, because at the moment they are all made to feel like beached whales compared to the size 8 models they normally see.

If they think a size 16 girl looks good, they will feel more confident.
Which frankly is a result for most blokes who have to deal with women always going on about the size of their bum.

Exactly, but it's also a ploy to make more money (as they ain't selling to most of the women of the UK - due to the image they have had a hand in promoting).

I think they assumed all women would get thin, it didn't happen - now they have just noticed that 50% of potential customers now won't even go into the store due to self confidence issues.

Look,

I'm professionally good looking, and I can tell you from my experience in the field that she isn't necessarily 'fat' per-say, but she is certainly overweight. You need to take into consideration that to some extent, that has most definitely been shopped.

She is not professionally good looking, I can assure you that.

middle one, ofc. a different perspective but still quite shopped.

Rag & Bones -> Skinny -> Thin -> Slim -> Average <- Curvy <- Chubby <- Fat <- Huge monster.

I was under the impression the accepted ocuk scale was

Nothing -> Skinny -> Thin -> Slim -> Average <- Curvy <- Chubby <- Fat <- FOG BEAST (with a picture of a terrified cat)

Girl is just a big over weight for her frame, which is a shame as she wouldn't be bad if they hadn't had to shop her arms (can tell by the pixels you know)
