Good news. It seems she still has a long way to go to fully recover but is getting there.

Over 100 operations to repair the damage after the attack, who could not be impressed with her strength and perserverance, not to mention the skill of the surgeons helping her get her life back on track.

:D

Was a good documentary, was shocked at the ignorance of the anti STEM cell protesters. Funny that they are probably pro capital punishment though.
Also pleased about the news.

I was shocked by the fact that people are capable of doing something so cruel, so barbaric to someone else out of nothing more than spite to be honest. And feel free to call me old fashioned, but the fact that a man had this done to a woman, just compounds my disdain for the perpetrators.

It's good to hear she's somewhat on the mend though.

The more positive Stem Cell based news the better. It's going to be incredible once it's more common and wider possibilities are explored.

Every time I think of stem cells I think of south park and christopher reeve sucking babies spines.

its not really getting her sight back..

1) she can see out of one eye anyway
2) she was not totally blind in the other

she has BETTER sight in the previously fubar eye.

she is also on anti rejection drugs which are nasty, especially if she has to take them long term...

I read a quote somewhere (not sure if it's in the article you linked to, cba reading it) from her, in which she said that although the acid attack incident was horrible, she is a much better person thanks to it. Previously she was very shallow, but not any more. It's impressive and cheering to see she a positive outcome.

Watched this last night with my misses.

I actually really enjoyed it, she has gone through some real hard times. She looks better than most "undamaged" (face, not down below :p) girls aswell.

Watched it last night - excellent documentary but totally :o @ the church freaks.

I mjust admit it put a smile on my face when she started to see stuff.
