Best PC F1 game?

Best immersion: F12011
Best physics: iracing, Live for Speed, NetKarPro, Rfactor
Best graphics (hands down): Project CARS

So all depends which @best@ is best for you;)

f1 2011 is going to be your best bet i reckon, but i love rfactor and the 1988, 1990, 1991 and the 1994 season mods there just awesome fun, you can get 2011 mods aswell...

F1 2011 isn't too bad, but it's more like an arcade type racer.

Project CARS still pre-alpha, but so far it's brilliant. Very good graphics, and very nice feel to the cars.

Problem with F1 2011 is the 11/11 suspension bug, which unless it's been patched (doubt it) gives users a huge advantage in speed. If you're competitive and playing online, definitely stay away, because even if you don't use it, you can be sure someone else will.

The best PC F1 game was Geoff Crammonds Grand Prix 2.

That is all.

Surely you mean Pitstop II for the Commodore 64?
Or Revs for the BBC Micro? :)

(Showing my age a bit!)

There's something about Cars which just feels more "right" compared to all others I've seen.
Its more like live on board footage (by far) to me than the others.

Might send my 10 Euro's for junior membership to play with the Monthly builds...any OCUK'ers a member?
Any comments on it?

iracing has defo got the best feel to it...

cars still feels a tad arcade to me...

Yep, but it's constantly improving. Feels a lot nicer since the recent FFB/Input lag changes.

They have certain cars spot on now, but some still have a lot of work to be done.

Thanks,

For your membership, do you get a resonably complete (i.e. enjoyable and satisfying) race experience?

Defo worth it you think?

No multiplayer, just single player as of now.

But yes I think it's very enjoyable and satisfying. I used to play F1 2011, but not touched it since i purchased CARS.

It's certainly worth a shot.

You should also try Live for Speed - its free to play (unlimited and including online). Just to compare the physics for which LFS is still king imho.

F1 2011 isnt a complete disaster, it can be fun and the drs/kers systems are well done as is the dynamic weather. For a sim experience and variety of F1 eras, iracing or rFactor are much better.

Project CARS is shaping to be top runner for "best graphics eva" award :)

If only they spent as much effort on physics (which are not TOO bad, but long way off LFS, NKpro etc)...
