Whitney Houston dead

48 is no age to go, in her prime she really did have a fantastic voice.

i think it was pretty clear to everyone that bobbi brown had nothing to do with whitneys demise into drug abuse, she was already well down the road to addiction and partys way before she married brown.

Agreed, far too many people laying the blame at his door. She had already started on that path before she met him. I'm sure they probably fuelled each others drug taking, but they both had a habit before knowing each other. On what I have heard about them they were both very similar in many ways but she was finished better and had a better image than he did so people think it was all his fault.

She was a grown up and made her own choices. Shame it never came good for her again RIP.

RIP - I'm only saying that because she is a human being. Not because she (unfortunately) turned out to become some crackhead singer.

I remember when Ryan Dunn was killed and most on here were saying he deserved it as he was drink driving when I was trying to stick up for him sooooo... yeah it's her fault good riddance.

What a pathetic reply.

For a start, Ryan Dunn was drink driving, and yes, going at that speed, drunk, whilst carrying a passenger.

Yes he is liked but that was HIS fault which is probably why people had mixed oppinions.

Unfortunatly I can't see where your comment is relating to what is unfortunatly an outstanding singer who got tumbled up in drug addiction, which later caught up with her.

She died in her hotel room, how can you compare this to Ryan Dunns death who was driving at that speed whilst drunk?

I do have thoughts to him, and anyone else that dies, but your comments are uncalled for

Indeed, i have no doubt that despite Bobby Brown possibly introducing her to drugs...it was really down to her to kick the drugs...im sure she did but then relapsed back into drug abuse recently...its a shame but it was her choice to continue down that road.

The problem with drugs is the lack of control one has over them, Mentally if you want to beat an addiction then you have to be strong mentally, Now most people who take drugs take it for the pleasure it brings, some take it to block out life problems in general, But the onset of abuse of drugs brings a complacent lifestyle where you end up knowing no other way.

For example a year and a half ago I lost my step-brother/best mate to heroin, He suffered mental depression from the death of his mum when he was young, never got over her, struggled to maintain any sort of normal lifestyle and succumbed to drugs as his get out, Now because he was never mentally strong enough, No matter how hard he tried he could not conquer his addictions and at the age of 34 died of a heroin overdose, an accidental overdose.

Both Whitney and Amy Whinehouse suffered from addictive natures and their lack of control over drugs, couple this with their fame at their respective times and this is a cocktail that comes with fatal warnings, Of course in Whitney's case it had a more profound effect on her as she had been at the very top of the music ladder and by the time she had a chance to rectify her career she had been lost by a generation and was more or less forgotten and unable to re-establish herself, Her soprano voice had deserted her and left her talentless. Amy on the other hand still had an opportunity to get back in and imo had she survived, she could have gone on and became even greater.

Or some people just think that this isn't really a good thread for the "jokes" (they're so poor that the normal "Friday funnies" would win an award by comparison).

It's about a level of respect that is common decency for any human being.

Less than a day after the death is not a great time for the "jokes" to be posted on these forums, and they will get deleted when spotted, and that is pretty much the end of it.

Why is it that so many of these celebs end up with everything they could possibly want in life but still choose to throw it all away by dabbling in drugs? :/

BTW, as far as jokes go, they are usually all over the phone network via SMS within hours of someone's death. Taking the **** and making something funny out of a bad situation: it's what us Brits are good at.
