It's the first Valentines Day for me and the Wife as a Married Couple...

But as things are a bit light on the Finance front we decided not to go over the top on our Gifts...

So here's what the Wife got me:

Plus a Boofle card with 'Vouchers' inside for various 'Perks' :D

I just bought her a copy of 'Point Break' on blu-ray (her favorite film!) and a couple of 'Funky Pidgeon' Cards (yes a couple!!.. one from ? and the other from me!!)....

Plus as I'm 'Working from Home' today, I'm gonna treat her to a nice meal cooked by my own hands!!

I've shown you mine... Now show me yours!! :D

Nothing. We don't 'do' valentines day. We pick another day in the year as 'our' day :)

You shouldn't need a calendar to tell you when to be romantic :p

Hey guys,

Didn't want to start a new thread as I'm sure there will be lots on this subject.

I have been seeing a girl for the past week and yesterday we both said we would like to be in a full relationship with each other. Great I thought!

Then this morning it dawned on me what today is, now do I just forget as it is so soon and don't want to scare if off with a big gesture etc. Or I was thinking of maybe just getting a single red rose and a small card? What do you think?

Thanks

Should be okay... a single 'Long Steam' Red Rose and maybe a small box o' choccies, unless she's on a diet or diabetic, then the Rose and a small silly Teddy (Me to You or Boofle etc...)...

Or just do what I did on our first Valentine... Cook a Romantic meal wearing nowt but an Apron!.. :D

She couldn't stop laughing!... :( but Married me 2 n half years later!! :D

Naaaa... 'Funky Pidgeon' not Hallmark!! :p

It's our first as a Married Couple.. We are very much in Love!..

(Yeh load of Grumpy old buggers Yeh!) :p

Nothing, we gave up doing Valentine’s Day years ago.

Always nice to surprise them.

As for moi, I am hastily constructing a "personalised" card for the girl along with a token of my affection.

We're not really Valentines people (cynical markups for one day a year), but I still think in my heart it's nice to make a bit of effort.

:)
