Folks are only sour because it didn't come in cheaper than the EOL 6850 priced to sell.

Stop your twisted reasoning and keep using arguement that sounds like coming from a 5 years old and keep calling people "AMD haters" (both Martin and Alex uses AMD cards if I'm not mistaken). GTX580 charged a premium on launch because it was the undisputed single GPU king back then, while the GTX560Ti/GTX570 were generally lower than/around same price than the counterparts 6950/6970. So 7970 aside, what is AMD charging premium such as 7770 for? Worse performance than 6850? 128bit Memory Interface instead of 256bit?
People who keep making stupid threads whinging about AMD really need to STFU.
People buy the cards at the price, so they sell them at that price. Simples
See no come back
You post non fact constantly on these forums.
I use nVidia, that don’t mean I like them. You were bashing the hd7970 also, now you’re twisting it and saying "GTX580 charged a premium on launch because it was the undisputed single GPU king back then" it still never stopped you bashing the 7970, did it? Suppose we can wait on the 78xx for the hattrick whilst all under the AMD banner.
There's no arguing that 7970 is faster than the GTX580, but the problem was...like the recent new gen cards from AMD- the price.I use nVidia, that don’t mean I like them. You were bashing the hd7970 also, now you’re twisting it and saying "GTX580 charged a premium on launch because it was the undisputed single GPU king back then" it still never stopped you bashing the 7970, did it? I never said GTX580 is good value, I was merely pointing out the fact. I was stating Nvidia was charging a premium for it being the fastest card back then...now AMD is charging a premium for ALL of the their new gen card, not just the 7970. They noew even price a card that's slower at a higher price , and people are actually defending it...twisted logic indeed.^THIS. The GPU forum is becoming a laughing stock because of the twisted logic highlighted in your post. That is not aimed directly at the poster your replying to.
What the actual duck is AMD doing... these cards should be coming in at well under £100.
Supply and ****ing demand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grow up people
Sorry, but looking at the performance and the price, the demand will remain with the 6850/6870/GTX460/GTX560/GTX560Ti at that price range. As people has pointed out...this card needs to be at £100 or possibly less, not at £120~£135 average.Supply and ****ing demand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grow up people
the GTX 460 is GONE - its EOL and not being made , in fact you would be hard pressed to find one thats not an `SE`.
depends on who you ask - the 7970 and 7950 are selling....

Well that took all of a minute.

It maybe EOL but it is still (easily) available.
And its a great card for the money
Makes the new gen 7770 look like a turd
