Cool story Bro

It really is a real life Sheldon...

I have no idea how that kid does it... Well I guess if I did, he wouldn't be the boy genius...

Sounds like he'll change the world.

Just read the whole article. Kids that clever are scary! Great story though, and the fact that he is applying his amazing knowledge to solving medical and security problems is great.

Only one thing I'm not quite sure I think is ethical is having 60 pounds of uranium going through an airport... lol

But there's no law that says they can't it seems.

I always think that the worst thing that can happen is that he has to deal with everyday real world life, I think it's better that he can be in an environment that cares for him so that he can dedicate his life to what he loves. I imagine that he will be a University researcher or maybe a teacher, I just don't want to see his talent wasted away in a 9-5 job where he can't use all his talents.

That is awesome!!

Not finished reading it yet as I'm pretty busy right now producing warp drive components in my shed, but when i've finished painting the front room... err, dosing the nano-cores... then i'll read the rest of the article.

Like RomanNose said, i'm slightly worried that for some reason this kid's extraordinary talents won't be allowed to bloom. He could really do so much for the world... Sounds like a modern day Archimedes or Tesla!

And being a teacher would be one of those things.

That's probably the last place he'd want to be if he's looking to innovate using neutrinos...

cool story bro, needs more dragons and ****

that's really awesome, I couldn't do that. I hope he doest waste his talents

Not necessarily. Being a teacher you get to inspire Kids, can you imagine how cool it would be to have a Nuclear scientist as your teacher. In his later life it would be a good idea, he should probably carrying on researching in his youth though.

I always had a bit of mad scientist in me as a kid (ruined the kitchen ceiling with chemistry experiments) but I wish I'd been this smart! :(

Awesome story. Good luck to him!

The way technology is heading and he wants to pioneer the use of neutrinos to scan for radioactive materials in shipment bays or use at airports, maybe after many projects he may pack it in and start teaching but I just really don't see it.

Especially if his interest first lay in rocket engines. :p

I can just see him trying to make nuclear thrust engines for space missions.

held up a pill bottle packed with a mixture of sugar and stump remover (potassium nitrate) that he’d discovered in the garage. He set the bottle down and, with a showman’s flourish, ignited the fuse that poked out of the top. What happened next was not the firecracker’s bang
everyone expected, but a thunderous blast that brought panicked neighbors running from their houses. Looking up, they watched as a small mushroom cloud rose,

What a load of rubbish. KNO3 and sugar burns slowly and is used to make smoke. Plastic containers don't work well for firecrackers and would probably make a modest pop sound at most.
