Super picky, need advice on what to buy next.

Ok guys, my heads about to explode. I keep changing my mind about what car i want. Im about to sell my car to my brother within the next 2 weeks as it'll clear my outstanding finance and let me have a fresh start again. I was almost 100% sure i wanted a pickup as i was needing a 4x4 in the winter when/if it snows and the room in the back could come in handy some days(would be very rare though). But after test driving one, although it was fun and i LOVED the ride height...it just wasn't practical as an every day vehicle.

So i've decided im after a car again. List of cars i've had:

1.2 Corsa (04)
1.6 Astra (06)
Rx8 (04)
350z (04)
2.0(diesel) Lancer (08)

Now, i've been through most cars i can think of. It's kinda looking like the next step is either an Sti or an Evo? But i also feel if i got one of those, then i'd just be throwing money at the fuel stations. I'm after something thats, fast(ish), fun to drive thats also got some room to play with, maybe around 30mpg? Personally im a fan of the japanese cars...apart from honda(Vtec just kicked in yo!) and again personally every car from the rest of europe is ...well boring...and some are even french! But unless im missing any, lets say you had a budget of between 10-14k, what would you get?

Ahh yes, i forgot about how frugal 2 tonne 4x4's are ;)

Since you asked what i would get, i would have a 335i for 14k. However, i suspect you may consider this boring.

haha no i dont actually NEED a pickup, as i said, the room in the back would rarely get used. it would just come in handy maybe...2 or 3 times a year. I was more thinking a 4x4 because the place i'll be moving to at the end of the year is inbetween 2 towns, has a small private road and a steep hill to go down just to get to the house. if it snows, you cant get up the hill unless you have a 4x4.

EDIT: haha Gaygle yeah i know they also drink fuel, maybe i should have worded things better. Usually when i sell a car, i know what im going for to replace it, but my brother asked me about selling my car out the blue and i thought why not. So i've fried my mind all day at work on what to buy and on my breaks reading auto trader, been doing this all week. I just dont know what i want, need ideas.

EDIT 2: Also as much as i love the look of the 335i...the inside kinda puts me off.

haha, corsa and astra....yeah you have a point, rx8 is awesome inside, so was the 350z. The lancer's not bad, GS4 version.

What about a lovely horse?

Better than a 4X4, loads of load space, unbeatable mpg and no rank interior to worry about :D
 
Out of that list the 350z. Why ? Just because of how they look. :cool:

Never mind all that just go buy another 350z. :D

if he's rejecting an E92 BMW for it's interior, you're seriously offering the megane?

Troll thread is trolly though if he thinks the RX8 interior is better. Or an impreza, or an evo.

I can see people not liking the e92 interior compared to an XF, or an F10, but seriously compared to this lot it's like a frickin rolls royce :p
 
Well I can tell you one thing, I sat inside an Evo once and never again. Plastic plastic plastic plastic. Fantastic plastic.

I have a lot of exposure to the interior of the RS250, my sister owns one :p Really not a patch on the e92
 
Ohhh i didnt expect all this! Right lets start at the top...

BigT - I have a look into those cars, think i know what im after now though.

Markie - A horse you say! I could do with getting my buns more toit!

4T5 - haha i'd love another 350z, but sadly at this moment in time i cant.

newman - Nothings wrong with the Vtec! As i used to be a member of the rx8/350z forums, that was the classic line everyone would say. Just none of the honda cars tickle my fancy. Also i was only kidding about french cars, everyone picks on the french. As willie in the simpsons says "cheese eating surrender monkeys"

Tom - Tom my sweet princess. I have to apologize. As my harmless thread does seem a little trolly, i didnt mean for it to come across as that. Sadly though if im 100% honest, i'd never drive a bmw just because they are a bmw. I had one as a courtesy car when i was getting work on my 350z. Going from the Zed, kids would wave and point as i would drive past, people would take pictures and random people would come up to me and speak about the car. had so much love with that car. To the sheer hatred i was getting while driving the bmw haha. It just put me off for life. But surely saying i liked the rx8 interior better than other cars is purely my opinoin(plus everyone else i've spoken to) and has nothing to do with the over used TROLL word nowdays.

Tom/Mrk - You're both right though, the Impreza and Evolution(same as my lancer) cars are both boring inside, but i can only imagine they are pretty fun to drive so that would make up for it.

Ubersonic - I never knew this! I've always loved them and the amount of people who would come up to me at car shows complementing the inside(and out) would show you cant believe everything you read.

Sadly though boys and girls, i've been thinking over and over today and i think a 4x4 would be best. I can always get a toy later on in life, im still young ;) Thinking possibly a swb showgun, putting the back seats down would give me enough room i need.
 
Fun to drive is one thing but a cabin that rattles to pieces over time isn't :)
 
haha i know exactly what you mean, i've seen myself smacking my dashboard to try and stop an annoying rattle somewhere.
