extremely poor form indeed. awesome stuff giving back to the community like this, already got the expansion pack, but cmon guy speak up if you got it!
 
Yeah, personally if I was the OP (although I would have done it my way as posted above and below :p), I would be pretty ****** that some selfish little xxxx hasn't bothered to thank him yet and even worse, isn't even contemplating on thanking him (mostly likely this) and if he isn't a member, it doesn't take a minute to sign up and just pop in to say "hi, long time lurker here, but I seen this and really wanted it as I don't have it, thanks very much, really appreciate it!"

Don't suppose there is any way of getting the code to be invalid or reject it even though whoever got it has entered it already? :p


Let this be a lesson to all people that give away free things on this forum in the future!

Always have some requirements like the following:

And of course;

- if they joined within the month the free give away was posted, but have more than 20 posts or something (not spam), then they can enter :)

Never post the code or whatever publicly on the thread, use a random number generator or set something up like the best joke wins and then send the code or whatever via the trust system

When this sort of thread happens a surprising number of people are scum who don't say thanks. I hope whoever used it gets all of the crashing and disconnection issues people have with the game.

The biggest error was assuming it was actually a registered user to begin with. Did you know there are far more non-registered viewers than there are otherwise?

Should have done a random lottery with the winner being sent a personal message. The code likely hasn't benefited OcUK at all, which is to the folly of the OP.
 
First I would like to admit that I'm a random guy who searched google and found this thread. Yesterday (Feb 12 2012) I tried to redeem the code and actually it worked! I got the free b2k. Also I faced a lot of problems registering in this forums. So I would like to thank Faztastic for his huge generosity and for all who would forgive me. Thanks again :)
