Alan Wake now appears to be heading to Steam!!

I'm finding it pretty challenging on medium . Then again I don't play this sort of game very often so probably not as good using a pad as people who do.

I'm finding hordes of enemies a little difficult to contend with (mainly because it's quite tricky to juggle between dodging their attacks and getting your own in), but two or three is pretty easy. Other than that, it's a pretty straightforward experience as long as you've got enough ammo/supplies.

hehe,, nope, as its just another background app to add to the collection that I try to avoid if poss.

If you need some software to play the game more comfortably, why are you worrying about such small things. Especially when (as mentioned), your spec is high enough not to worry about it.

Just finished the first episode and enjoying it so far. I was going to hold off but seeing as how it was £22.99 I decided to buy it yesterday.

is there any mod to fix the stupid camera? i cant play it like this.. can barely run down a path without bumping into the fences on the side

is your character suposed to be drunk or suffering withdrawal symptoms? thats how the camera feels

sales must be terrible :( just above 2000 on a Saturday night. it's a two year old game i suppose...
Anything but poor its been no1 on Steam for 3 days MW3 keeps swapping places with it probably sold a lot of copies by now those Steam stats are only if people have Steam open at the same time as playing many chose to use offline mode for SP games to maximise FPS.

Remedy said they are very happy with sales figures so far & it still has a retail launch on 2nd March collectors & std editions so they must be confident it will sell otherwise why bother making all those expensive physical extra items for collectors edition like the 144 page book, official CD soundtrack for EU markets etc etc

Never played this when it came out on the 360, thinking of picking it up for the PC now though as it looks quite impressive. How long is the single player?

I'm about 13 hours in now. Taking my time and looking for the collectables etc. Absolutely loving it so far. I love this type of setting, reminds me of Raccoon city .

Judging by the 53 coffee mugs I have collected I assume I'm just over half way through. I don't want this game to end.

Most of my settings are on high now, I've got Volumetric Light Quality on Low, then AA and AF both on 4x

Getting 30-40 FPS

On Q6600, GTX260

It plays a lot better than I expected on my machine :)
