What an awesome game, can't wait to play it again. Only heard about it yesterday for PSN and that it was ment to be out today. Well it only got delayed didn't it lol, one more week won't hurt I guess.

Anyone else looking forward to this? Is it coming out for XBLA?
 
I thought the same about the tmnt games, 5 minutes told me I was no longer 14 with a pocket full of 10p in an arcade. Since then I've left stuff like this in my nostalgic past :D
 
Downloaded this last night on PSN. It seems quite good. Shame there's no widescreen option, Turtles the arcade on Xbox 360 (which is the closest game there ever was to this) looks great stretched to widescreen. The trophies seem a bit odd to me. Had a quick play through and finished it. Tried an online game and the lag was so bad I honestly didn't notice I was one of the players on the screen and was pressing every button to try and join the game. I tried another game after and it seemed ok but it was on the final boss so it only lasted a minute or 2.

Just wished they had added a widescreen option, especially for plasmas:(

You were wrong. I downloaded the trial, omg it's one of the worst games I've ever downloaded off xbla. I want my 18meg bandwidth back.

If it's was honestly 5 msp I would be having a debate about whether it was worth it :D
 
It's a classic and a lot of people don't appreciate them like others. I can go back and play any game that i loved previously and still love it. People like Dannyjo just prefer to not actually play games and just stick some tape on a rapid fire pad for some achievements ;)
 
I've got most of the trophies for this now. Only 3 left and 2 of those are just a formality; finish the game with all 4 characters and 25 team kills on MP. The one for finishing the game on expert in quaters mode (only 10 credits) is just horrible to play! It's do-able but I won't enjoy it.

edit: just done the 25 team kills on MP. It probably takes about 2 minutes of game time to do if that but it's getting someone to do them with you. In the end I did a search for all games on free-play with voice enabled and just asked people to help me.

Why is it terrible? apart from the lack of widescreen it's the same as my username but with trophies. I too am a big fan of classic arcade games, hence the name.

You've just hit the nail on the head there - you can go back and play games that YOU love.

Now, I can do the same. I grew up in the arcade era, and I can still play those games that I grew up with (for example, Golden Axe and Magican Lord to name but two). However, The Simpsons wasn't something I played at the time, and looking at it now, I find it awful even though it's in the same vein as the games I just mentioned.

Most of the old arcade games that I still like and still enjoy probably seem dire to a lot of other people, but the thing we've got is nostalgia and, for us, that can elevate games to a level that people who didn't play them back in the day just won't understand.

Because the original version was overrated as well then all they have done is add trophy support. The graphics are terrible and the sound is worse.
