Do you cry at films?

I do get the opposite reaction though, especially when things are getting tense, like in Breaking Bad or when watching sports.

most sad scrubs episodes

toy story 3

bit in Inception with his memory of his wife - watched that film with my girlfriend and she wasn't even affected by that bit :o

I even get a bit choked up during powerful scenes, like in the third lotr movie where the mumakil charge minas tirith or some of the scenes in platoon.

I'm not even embarrased that I'm as emotional as some girls watching movies, I see it as me getting my monies worth out of a film if it's able to immerse me that much :p

I have been known to cry with some films or TV series if they have a particularly strong, emotional, plot. It normally affects me more if that is combined with a good soundtrack at the same time which sweeps you up on what is going on.

There have been a few books too where I've got so pulled into the story that it gives me an emotional response, either the odd tear or a shiver down the spine, even on a re-read.

I have never cried at a sad movie, not once until forust gump i got a massive lump on my throat and couldent stop the tearing in my eye, first and last time i cried for a movie and im a proper bloke, aint no shame in crying,

At the end of The Fountain I started sobbing uncontrollably. It was because the film made me confront my own death and it was totally devastating. Most people think of death as some far off thing that will happen one day in the distant future when they are very old, but the film made me really think about the fact that one day I will stop breathing and my heart will stop beating and I will die - and the same thing will happen to everyone I love. It's completely inevitable and no matter what I do, I can never prevent it.

My girlfriend watched it with me and had no reaction at the end and was puzzled as to why I was crying...

Too Alpha to have a man cry.

However, apart from Bambi I found Seven Pounds a fairly emotional film. Whilst also being an excellent film as well.

Hmm...

I cried at Zulu and Forrest Gump.

Apart from that - no. Got a lump in my throat for ET when I was a kid though.

That is an odd choice.

The one where Homer relives how Maggie was born is a tearful episode, it's all so lovely!

I cry quite a lot when watching certain films but I always make sure I watch them by myself so its not embarrasing.

Click, American History x, Forrest Gump and Million Dollar Baby affect me more than most. Chances are if a girl sheds a tear watching a film then I will cry twice as much watching it. :p

Other than that i'm emotionally dead....
