Who is OCUk's Oldest Gamer?

Typo on opening post ?

You don't done wanna be 44 mate. Pressing wrong buttons and bits falling off your hardware. Then there's the PC of course :D

I think it's the OP taking my post the wrong way...

In before 4T5.

I actually don't know how old he is, just guessing :p

:Edit: Oh and Admiral Huddy! He's pretty ancient :D

;)

For the record, I am 23!

33 here i find pc gamers are generally older, I once played a cs:s clan ladder match with my newborn son in a slung across ny chest. As he's grown older he lives to get involved and used ti giggle like crackers when I'd play wow and let him hit space bar to make my mount growl!

if you can remember playing and drooling over pole position graphics on the atari 2600 then your an oldish gamer

34 - First gaming experiences when I was about 6 on the Atari 2600 and Commodore 16

Boots sold GAMES?

...how strange.
I remember one summer they had a sale, every game was a fiver. Cost my parents a fortune but I was quiet as a mouse the whole summer!

39 this year :O

Started with an Atari 2600, Vic20, Commodore 64, Commodore 128, Ataris, Amigas, 286, 386 etc etc

I'm 26 next week, started gaming as soon as I was able on an Atari 2600, my Grandads, as well as a spectrum my dad bought.

My grandad soon gave me my own Atari 2600 for my Birthday and this progressed to us both having Amiga 500's and Amiga 500+'s and finally gaming PC's.

Ever since I could remember up until 15-16 me and my Dad would go over to see my Grandad every Saturday night and all play games together, the best of times!

Sadly my Grandad is no longer around :( as he died when I was 17.

In the background to that I have had a NES, PS1, N64, PS2, Dreamcast, Gamegear,, Gameboys, DS's, XBOX360, and an always evoling gaming Rig.

41 here.....I really must start to grow up :D

Oh and I started with a pac man stand alone game (yellow machine) Since then I have had C16 (my first ever comp) Spectum 48k/C64/Amiga 500/Amiga1200/Nes/Snes/Megadrive/Amiga CD32/Nintendo 64/PS1/PS2/PS3/Xbox/Xbox360/Atari lynx/PSP/Nintendo DS/PC (lots of those in fact). Best for games was without question my beloved Amiga 1200...Geoff Cramonds formula 1 was an amazing frame rate compared to the A500.

I'm 46 and I've been video gaming since the days of Pong. I work in computer games - have done since the 8-bit era - and I'm still fanatical about playing games - mainly on PC.

My first computer was a ZX81, and I have one on my desk at work to remind me how far we've come since then. My main computers before the PC were the C64 and Amiga, but I have a lot of nostalgia for the original rubber keyed speccy, because that's what my friends had when I was at school. (I couldn't afford one at the time, I had to settle for a ZX81).

I'm a big fan of retro-gaming and last year bought a pre-built jamma based arcade cabinet, which I've converted into a Mame machine, adding better sticks and buttons in the process.

Im 28 in July, started off on a BBC Micro at school when i was like 5 years old lol. I remember my first game on it,it was called Podd,i even found a vid on youtube!

The first computer i owned personaly was a NES with super mario bro's and a couple of other games. I loved it but i've not owned a console since the dreamcast died.

I'm 45, been playing games since I saw my first pong machine on holiday when I was about 12. Only console I ever owned was an Atari when I was a kid, loved missile command and space invaders on it :) Ever since I played Elite on a PC when I was a student it's been PC gaming all the way for me.

I'm 43, been gaming online since we worked out how to open the ports for UT.

Also learnt to Alt-Tab quickly when the Boss man walked in, and picked a desk facing the door :)
