Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 27th Feb 2012]

British teams need to watch Zambia to learn how to watch penalties! That was a joke!

Gerrard misses for Cardiff... wonder how much money he's just got for that. ;)

Liverpool celebrating like they have won a trophy that the rest of the big boys are even half interested in. Why this crappy cup isn't just scrapped to save fixtures I don't know.

Harsh on Cardiff, they were outstanding today. Why no one just put their penalties down the middle I'll never know.

the second part is justified by the first part in your response ;)

LOL indeed, its the only trophy they are going to win this season:p.

Well played Cardiff, gave it their all...shame it had to go to penalties...was so hoping that Liverpool would lose but winning on penalties isnt exactly how id want to win a cup/trophy.

Okay i'll bite.

Can you show me examples of "the big boys" winning the trophy and not really caring?

Of course they are going to celebrate...any team would.

Absolutely pathetic, Kenny Miller should hang his head in shame.

End of the day, if you can't score from 6 yards in open play, or 12 yards from a dead ball that's shocking. Crap ****.

THOROUGHLY DESERVED, BATTERED THEM, YEEEEEEEDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS REDMENNNNNNNNN

Statements like this should be reserved for wins in normal time when the score line is of two or more goals to one team with minimal chances for the other.

Example being City vs Blackburn yesterday :p

Cardiff have done the Championship proud.

Although saying that I reckon if Kuyt had started instead of Carroll they would have won comfortably, Carroll is still a passenger most of the time.

Great final though, two great matches in one day. :)
