**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

Went and bought this today for £180 second hand.

Absolutely perfect condition, not a spot on it anywhere. Can't believe I've got such a bargain! :)
 
Hope a new firmware comes to sort the auto brightness and button illumination again.

Any bods in the know have access to what changes there are?
 
"- The Fast battery drain issue has been fixed
- The lack of audio Bass when listening through headsets has been fixed. There’s a whole lot of bass now..
- The auto-white balance issue with the camera has also been fixed
- The hardware buttons backlights are now always one at all screen brightness levels

I've noticed my blue one is very slow at internet browsing.. it takes forever to search for anything, once I've got a link or if I'm using favourites its fine but something is making it search etc so much slower than my black one.. any ideas?

The black one is on the newer software so I guess that could be it?

Its probably the firmware difference. As mines a cyan model and its pretty nippy.
 
So I picked up one of these devices last Sunday been quite happy with it. I've come from and HTC Desire and I like WP7 a lot.

However I now think its dead :( The battery died today so I've plugged it into charge this evening and it now won't turn on after being on charge for over an hour now. Anybody know of anything I can do before I go an return it tomorrow?

I can confirm that the audio and battery issues have been fixed. All the phone needs now is custom text tones and its perfect!

I've had plenty of nokias do this to me, just leave it on with the OEM charger for a while and it'll come back to life.

I hope you didn't have time to return it yet, this happened to me the other day and I just left it on the charger until it started working. Took about 1,5 hours I think.

I also had this problem and thought the phone was dead even though it had been charging over night. To fix it, I needed to unplug the charging cable, hold the power button until the phone vibrated and then immediately plug the charging cable back in. Hope this works for you.
 
The battery life of my handset has taken a drastic drop in the last few days. With normal use I'm getting low battery by 4pm. Before, I was charging it at night and still had 30+% remaining.

No new apps installed, in fact nothing new in the last week.

Noticed on the boards at work today when I nipped in someone has one of these for sale with an 'offer me cash' deal.

Bought for his wife, an unwanted upgrade as she can't get on with it. 3 weeks old, mint condition, kept in a case so no scratches, All boxed etc etc....

I've dropped him an e-mail asking what he wants for it on its own (he is trying to include some random bluetooth headset with it) ... whats a good price here?

Well, brand new from most 'big' shops they are between £350 and £399.

I'd say a good price is £250ish, perhaps a bit more.
